A detective as well known as Mike Shane is in the limelight pretty much of the time. This evening Mike is not in the limelight, but behind the footlights. Or rather, he is just about to be. A new review is opening at the Empire Theater, and for reasons still unknown, Mike has been asked to attend the rehearsal. Right now, Mike and his pretty associate Phyllis Knight are waiting at the stage door.
Yes. What do you want, son? We'd like to see Miss Beverly Pryor, please. I'm sorry, son. Rehearsal going on. She
