Hello everybody. Welcome to another episode of Christ with Coffee on Ice. I am your host, Ali Oast. It is a joy and honor to be here with you guys today. Hey guys! Hey everybody! Hi, all my friends! Hi, friends! What's everybody doing? How is your week so far? This really is one of the moments where I wish I could I wish I could audibly hear you guys. On the other end. But I hope that you guys are doing well. I hope that your week has been amazing so far. Um To be honest, I am so excited to be here with you guys today. Genuinely. I can't say it enough. I'm sorry if it gets repetitive, but I genuinely love my job so much. I love you guys and I love being able to sit with y'all. You are actually genuinely, like hear my heart, my favorite part of the week.
Like doing this and being with you guys is my favorite part of the week. And well, I should say parts of the week now that we do meet twice a week, which is so fun. But yeah, and it's so funny because this podcast became something that I could have never imagined. I never even imagined myself having a podcast to begin with. And so It's just so cool that something so unexpected in my life happened and then it became something I could have never expected. And because of that, it's actually ended up being my favorite thing in the world. Like I don't it's it's so funny. In a lot of ways I feel like I stumbled my way here. And we're here. And we have this really cute routine of hanging out every week and we get to talk about Jesus.
And I genuinely love the community that we have here. I I love the comment section. I love seeing you guys in life, listening to the podcast. Like it's just the coolest thing ever. This community is so special to me. And I can't even take the credit of that, you know? Like I think obviously it's what God is doing in my life and all of your lives that He's brought us all together for such a time as this. And it all all of it is him. But also it's like it's you guys for just being the best people ever. Like I'm just like. I'm just here grateful for the people you are. And I'm so proud of you guys. Like, what in the world? How did I get so blessed with the most amazing, genuine, kind? Just amazing people. I don't know how uh other way to descri I don't know in what other there's bigger words, I'm sure.
But that's all I can really come up with right now. You guys are just the best people ever. And I'm so lucky to know you at least virtually. I know that we don't really know each other super personally. All of it is very virtual. But um yeah, just really grateful for you guys. So anyway, I'm filled with gratitude today. And I'm really excited for what God has in store for this episode. And here's the thing the last episode that we did. We were reading in the book of Proverbs, and we were reading Proverbs chapter one through chapter seven. And we kinda did it where I I had read all seven of the chapters to you guys and then we did a recap of all of that in bulk at the end. And it's not that I don't like that style, but I almost wish that we took more pauses.
Like I actually wish that we had done it by chapter by chapter. and kind of like chewed it a little bit slower instead of it being like this massive download at the end. Obviously I think that that something like that does leave space for you guys to kind of interpret your own in each chapter and like you know, have the Lord kind of speaking to you on your own as we're reading through it and then at the end, you know, as I'm sharing things, I think that's a cool time to see if there's anything that was already speaking to you that's very parallel to the recap. So I don't think there's anything wrong with that, but I would just like to try something different today because I do want to continue to read in the Proverbs.
Okay. That is totally what we're doing today because I thought it was so fruitful last time. I was obsessed with it. I was learning so much. And I I'm in the mood to get smarter today. Like, I don't know about anybody else, but I woke up today feeling like, yeah, I want to be smarter.
