Andy Tang is an avid skier, and this fueled his career transition out of finance and telcos and into demand management and then energy storage. Now he runs Wartsila’s energy storage and optimization business globally. From "microgrids" of 240,000 people in the Azores to utility-scale storage deployments around the world, Wartsila is a major player, just as they have been in the energy business with their engines for decades.
