The Economic Impact of Climate Change - Andrew Stevenson_Voloridge
30 Mar 2021
Many people think of climate change as being a future problem, but that’s not the case. Climate change has become a major part of our economy. In 2020, 4.7 million structures were impacted from an insurance perspective because of climate change. Insurance premiums are increasing, people are losing opportunities to work, and businesses are being disrupted. The federal government is now shouldering a larger burden than the insurance industry and taxpayers are paying the price. But, there is something we can do! Andrew Stevenson, Strategy Manager at Voloridge Investments, shares the relevant data with us and provides important insight into what we can do to lessen the impact on our environment and the burden on us all.
