Coaching Mind's Podcast: Perform at your best!

#86-Controlling your perception

30 Sep 2022

Description

Our perception of any given situation is determined by four main factors: the filter through which we see it, how we frame it, how we evaluate it, and how we respond to it. The filter is our individual lens on the world, shaped by our experiences, beliefs, and values. Our frame is how we choose to see the situation, whether we focus on the negative or the positive. Our evaluation is based on our judgment of what is happening, and our response is how we choose to act in the situation. By understanding these four factors, we can begin to control our perception of any given situation. Doing so allows us to see things more clearly and respond more effectively. As a result, we can find greater success and satisfaction in both our personal and professional lives, and also feel more confident moving forward! Here is the BLOG POST LINK to the article about controlling your focus that was referenced in the episode.Link to the Focus Cycle: Controlling your mind and body in Big Moments book that Ben wrote that is referenced in this episode.Interested in having a conversation with Ben about how he can help you with the mental side of your game?
