Courtney Harrison is a proud Aboriginal woman and a leader in diversity, equity and wellbeing, working with communities in southeast Melbourne in making progress towards Reconciliation. In sharing her deeply personal and powerful story, Courtney opens up about living with her family in the regional town of Warragul, her connection to Country, navigating the daily challenges she encounters and the progress she’s observed throughout her lifetime. She reflects on how the connections, understanding and empathy she’s built, have all supported her personal resilience and wellbeing, giving her energy to continue to advocate for her people. In a world where incoming information doesn’t stop and there’s a constant pressure to move onto the next thing, Courtney reminds us of the value in taking time to pause, connect, reflect and then consider taking intentional action with a step that’s right for you. So order a large coffee, sit back, settle in and listen as Courtney describes how she personally approaches these challenges and ensures that the progress continues.
