LSU resets expectations after Ja'Marr Chase's surprising opt-out

The defending national champs are down to five returning starters with the opt-out news of star wideout Ja'Marr Chase and d-tackle Tyler Shelvin over the last few days (things are moving so quickly that Shelvin happened AFTER Trey and Shea Dixon recorded Monday!). There's still plenty of talent in Baton Rouge, but with all the attrition and now just 70 scholarship players on the team, it's probably time to officially — and perhaps drastically — lower preseason expectations for football's No. 6-ranked team.
