College Recruiting with Jill Hicks

3 strategies of a strong college recruit

15 Nov 2022

Description

1.  Do gymnastics or your sport for yourself  2.  Set goals  3.  Start with research, education and not sending emails to the college coaches  When you love the sport the college coach will feel this energy from you and it will impact your recruiting.  It is time to change the narrative in your head.  When you are young you can flip, jump and fly without the pressure, but when you reach the high school years it all changes.  Your body changes and things become harder.  Injuries happen and it is harder to please the club coach.  This is when you must ask yourself "why" are you going to gym each day.  Is it for college, parents or club coach?  If you lose your joy and purpose, it can begin to hold you back.   Writing down your goals is proven to bring about achieving them, in fact 20-30% more likely.  JH Girls I want you to journal tonight your long term goal for 2023 season, but you must break it down into monthly, weekly and daily goals.   Start your recruiting with research and education.  Lay the foundation of which schools are right for you first then go online and learn about the schools.  Picking the right camps and getting to know the college coaches is way more powerful than sending an email first.   www.jhicksconsulting.com Click on Get Started Fill out the forms page  An advisor will call you We are in your corner, JH Team
