PMDD, Neurodivergency, Sex and Body Image with Kitty. Kitty, hello, welcome to a very special episode of Come Curious. Hi.
Thank you so much for having me. It is such a pleasure. Cause also the first time I was on the pod was 2017. Which was Wow Eighth Crazy Absolutely bananas. And I was talking about a whole load of different stuff back then and we're back here eight years later. And we'll be talking about a lot of other exciting stuff. Um, so thanks for having me again.
Thanks for coming on. Um, as you might be able to hear, Florence isn't here at the moment. She's having to deal with a personal emergency. But she's doing okay. And people listening to this podcast will be updated in due course. So just keep on the ear out. Send us some love if you can. And again, I am here with Kitty to talk about some really amazing things that we both suffer with and yeah, struggle with entirely is Who would to suffer?
Yeah,
yeah. So before we continue, can you tell the curious fuckers a bit about yourself and who you are?
Absolutely. Um, so my name is Kitty and I am obsessed with all things bodies. Um, I'm a body image advocate and coach. I'm also a life model, which means I spend a lot of my time nude in front of strangers, which is a magnificent thing for your body image, but I'll go into that a bit later. Um, I'm also um a curator and archivist in training for something called the body image archives, which will be chronicling the media. That's taught us about our bodies over time. Um, I also have PM D D, which is a real fucker and not a fun one. So I mean, I feel like I do about nineteen hundred things at once, but Those are my top things. Either way, it's all about bodies, all about loving our bodies and unpacking all the nastiness that we've learned about them to create a better uh narrative for ourselves.
Yeah, I love that. I mean, I've been following Kitty for a long while and I think one day we met at an event and I was just like, I love Kitty. I want her to be my friend. I literally said that to my boyfriend at the time. I was like, I want her to be my friend.
Oh yeah, I had the biggest friend crush on you too, bud. Like I was literally like, Oh my god, how can we become buddies? And it happened. We did it. It happened. We sold each other's friendship crush. We love to see it.
Yeah. And and Kitty comes over to mine and we eat food and watch movies and chat about shit, which is so nice.
It's it's beautiful. Yeah. Oh,
it is that is like the perfect type of friendship where you're just like, I don't want to do anything. You just just want to be company with me.
Can you can you be near me, please, with some blankets and some snacks? Yes, please.
Oh my god, yeah, blanket, snacks, food. Yeah, we do. It's delicious. So yeah, Kitty, do you have a like a sex story that you don't mind sharing with us?
Yeah, um, so I think it's been really interesting for me recently because um I've known I was queer since I was I mean if the haircut wasn't a giveaway enough. Um And the eyebrow slit, my God. The shaved sides, the chain. Everything, everything. The wife lover shirt, you know. Um But basically, um I knew I was queer when I was like twenty-five, but it was one of those things, um, you know, a lot of queer women uh or queer folks who are assigned female at birth um go through that compulsory heterosexuality thing where it's like I'm dating lots and lots of cis men. Um but over the past year. I just realised just how queer I am and it's been absolutely magnificent. And I think it was one of those things where
I think especially if you are in that kind of situation you're starting to have queer sex for the first time. Um, you're kinda like, Oh my God, what if I get it wrong? What if I don't do it wrong? What if I'm rubbish? What if I'm whatever? Um And yeah, last year I had this really like significant um sex partner who really showed me the ropes. And it was so funny because like the first time we slept together, um, they were like You you're telling me you haven't done this much before. And I was like, um no.
