Transformers did it! It kind of worked! Let's do it again! This time without the traumatizing permanence of a main character death! This was the meeting at Hasbro, there's no convincing us otherwise. GI JOE The Movie tried so hard to follow the formula Transformers did and whiffed it. Faked out the Duke death, botched the intro song, and took their best baddie and tanked him into comedy relief. The 80s were wild man. But if you're a fan of GI Joe, this is a god tier movie. The action has a movie budget and the new characters will live rent free in your nostalgia banks until dementia sets in. CAPE Legend, Chris Aballo returns for some solid tanget work.
