Conduct Detrimental: THE Sports Law Podcast

Sports Law Competition Circuit; Russian Sports Bans; and Opening Arguments (our new debate show!)

01 Mar 2022

Description

Sports Law competition rivalries! Our website posts law school spotlights with Sports Law programs. Recently there has been some heated debate over which law school holds the prestige for the Sports Law competitions. Dan Lust, Mike and Jason (2:15) discuss their experience with sports law competitions and the recent debate between Fordham and Villinova law schools. The world of sports has been punishing Russia for their military involvement in Ukraine. (19:15) We discuss the International Olympic Committee being the first large scale ban on Russia and Belerus, preventing them from competing in international games. The IOC is also urging FIFA and UEFA to do the same for international football (which they have also done since recording this episode). We are very excited to annouce the launch of our new segment called Opening Arguments hosted by Conlan Farrell, a sports law debate show with a betting angle. Conlan's first episode is with the Dans.  The three discuss (25:00) Brian Flores, Deshaun Watson and Dan Snyder lawsuits. *** Have a topic you want to write about?
