There's a verse in Proverbs 3 that promises long life, peace, prosperity, and the respect of other men — not in heaven someday, but here, in this life. Most Christians have been taught to walk straight past it. We're told expecting reward is crass, worldly, prosperity gospel. But Hebrews says you cannot come to God without believing He is a rewarder. So the problem isn't the promise. The problem is that nobody ever showed you the mechanism. In this episode we take Proverbs 3:1–4 at its word: a king training a prince, a heart that keeps commandments rather than collects feelings, and the daily, unglamorous work that connects your Bible reading to your marriage, your trade, and your standing among men. Because righteous men don't fall away in a moment. They fall away by a thousand missed greasings. Grease the tractor. Then get in it.
