Dear Life with Christina Rasmussen

Ep. 127: Diane Wald - A Writer's Life

23 Nov 2021

Description

As you know, I love writing and I'd also love for you to write. I have received hundreds, if not thousands of messages, from people who want to write a book and are looking for information on how to go about it and how to get one published. Before you think about publishing, it's essential to consider one important thing: the enjoyment of writing and just getting your story on the page. Today's guest is an amazing fiction writer and poet, Diane Wald. Her book, "My Famous Brain", was the winner of the Visionary Fiction category from the NYC Big Book Awards, a competition judged by experts from many facets of the book industry worldwide, including publishers, writers, and professional editors. We spent the hour talking about her life as a writer, her struggles when she was teaching and writing, and how she's had 3 books published in the last 3 years at 73 years old. She truly is an inspiration to any who wants to know how to start and is worried that it is too late to start. I'd love to know what you think. Please share it with your friends and family, and be sure to tag me if you share it on social media so that I can say thank you. I'm @christinarasmussen7 on Instagram and @ChristinaRasmussen2014 on Facebook.  More About Diane Wald Diane Wald, at age 73, is an award-winning poet and novelist, who has worked as  an English professor, academic dean, and communications director for a national animal welfare organization.
