Narcissists will take advantage of any trait we possess. While the "empath" filter is helpful to recognise traits that we might otherwise miss, its utility is limited. However, once we learn to "tone down" a bit how these signs manifest themself, we make it easier to avoid being manipulated by narcissists and other malignant people.
