Her research focuses on economic statecraft and economic security. Geoff Gertz is senior fellow in the Energy, Economics, & Security Team at the Center for a New American Security. His research focuses on technology competition, digital policy and data governance, and geoeconomics. Alan F. Estevez serves as the Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security.  As Under Secretary, Mr. Estevez leads the Bureau of Industry and Security, which advances U.S. national security, foreign policy, and economic objectives by ensuring an effective export control and treaty compliance system and promoting U.S. strategic technology leadership.
