Chapter 1: What are the criminal charges against Diddy?
BBC Sounds. Music, radio, podcasts. Welcome back to Diddy on Trial from BBC Sounds with me, Anushka Matanda-Doughty. We launched this podcast in November 2024. Since then, we've had five criminal counts against Diddy.
He's been denied bail three times, faced accusations of witness tampering, lost a lawyer, featured in a Kanye West or Ye track from behind bars, gone grey, demanded a gag order, launched an Instagram campaign and accused the government of racism. And that's just on the federal side of things.
On the civil side of things, we've had bombshell balcony dangling allegations, celebs from Michael Jackson to Jay-Z woven into the web of the Diddyverse, a Texan trial lawyer, Tony Busby, who told the BBC he had over 150 cases he would raise against Diddy. Well, what does Diddy say?
Chapter 2: What allegations have been made against Diddy?
He's denied all the allegations consistently and said he's never sexually assaulted anyone, man or woman, adult or minor. As for social media, well, everybody wants to know one thing. Did he do it? And that is what we're going to find out. This week, me and the team are preparing to head out to New York so we can bring you every twist and turn of what is shaping up to be the trial of the decade.
Chapter 3: How has Diddy responded to the allegations?
Diddy! Diddy!
We live in a toxic world, and it's love versus hate. And I choose love, and love wins. Love wins!

A U.S. judge has ruled that the rapper and producer Sean Diddy Combs will stand trial on federal... Our federal government are charging him with three counts, sex trafficking, RICO, and it is interstate prostitution from state to state. If convicted, he could face a life sentence. It is not our state law system, it is our federal government, the big boys.
During those searches, agents seize evidence of the crimes charged in this indictment. They seize cases and cases of lubricant and baby oil, more than 1,000 bottles altogether.
But when you say freak off, that's all we're talking about. When you mention the baby oil, that's all we're talking about. The federal government is brilliant in the way that they drafted this indictment because they didn't want it to just be boring.
Diddy denies all the federal charges, but there have been a lot of civil cases as well, including a very complicated one mentioning Jay-Z.
