Sheriff Mark Lamb: “We’re Already in a Civil War… It’s Just Not What You Think” | DSH #1789
26 Jan 2026
Chapter 1: Are we already in a civil war in America?
We're divided on race, religion, politics, social ideologies, political ideologies.
Chapter 2: Why is border security a pressing issue today?
There's so much division and we have an active politicians and active media continuing to divide Americans on those.
Chapter 3: How did the previous administration impact immigration policies?
And I don't think that back in those days they had the media so national and so global as we do now, which is why I say I think we're in a more dangerous place now.
Chapter 4: What challenges do jails face regarding ICE detainees?
People will always say, do you think we'll have a civil war? And I said, we're already in it. Yeah, I guess when people ask, they mean like literally a civil war with guns. Well, I think if you continue to go down this road, there are people that are passionate about their belief system. And clearly somebody didn't like what Charlie said and killed Charlie. Somebody shot at President Trump.
Let's not forget that. The Democrats and the media try to just forget about that. They shot him in his ear. And then just a short time later, somebody else tried to kill him. So these are really dangerous places to be in this country.
Okay, guys. In Phoenix, M-Fest, day three, final hour.
Chapter 5: Why are body cameras important for policing and public trust?
We got Sheriff Mark Lamb in the building. Good to finally meet you, man. Thanks for everything you do. Yeah, for sure.
Chapter 6: What role do drones play in border security and cartel operations?
You're making a lot of noise.
Chapter 7: How has fentanyl become a mass-casualty threat?
I'm trying. Yeah. We got it right. It's worth it. You're doing a great job at it, man. Thank you.
Chapter 8: What does 'less government, more power to the people' mean in practice?
What's the big fight these days for you?
Look, I still think the border is an issue. The reason why is I don't want people to forget about what a problem it was under the previous administration. They've come in and fixed it, but the fixes are executive orders. Right. Right.
And so if we don't codify these things in the law so that Congress becomes very important, Senate becomes very important to make sure that these changes that President Trump has implemented are long term changes.
I do worry about that if we lose the midterms and then say the left wins president in 28, will the border go back to how it used to be? Absolutely. You think so?
Because it worked for him. Now they're defending a lot of people that are even criminals in this country. They're defending them. I never thought I'd see them defend the indefensible the way they have. And then not only that, they're encouraging people to fight against ICE. And ICE is just doing the job that Congress and Senate set forth when they established the laws for immigration.
I would hate to see it go back, but my guess is that's kind of the plan is put as many people in you as you can. Look at California. They count them as far as for the census on the congressional district. So, yeah, I think they would go back to it.
How bad was it when Biden was in office for you? It was awful.
Yeah, look, I was on the news and I was trying to say it as much as I could. And a lot of people think, oh, immigration, especially if you're from the West, you think maybe it's people from Mexico or from Guatemala or somewhere in Central South America. The reality was they were coming from everywhere. I mean, the majority of what we were getting, a lot of Africans coming in.
I went over to the San Diego area and there's a guy there named Corey Gautreaux who does a lot of stuff. And he said, in my time, I only had a couple of people from Mexico. Almost everybody was from China or Africa. Wow. And so, like I tell people, this was not a Hispanic thing. This was a global thing.
