So there's bone issues in you said 40s now? It can go even younger than that. We're seeing people in their 30s cases that have bone density issues. It's really prevalent more in women. We're seeing a very high incidence in men as well. So especially people that are petite, lighter weight, lower BMI index, we're seeing a lot of correlation with bone density issues.
Drink your milk, guys.
Hmm.
Okay, guys, Tony Orlando here from Dexa Plus. We are A4M. You got a booth set up here and we're meeting for the first time. So thanks for coming on, man. Yeah, thanks for having me. Excited to talk to you today. What's Dexa Plus about? Dexa Plus, we promote the importance of Dexa scans for bone muscle and fat. Dexa should be integrated in any weight loss program. It is the metric. It helps you change your life. Yeah, I got one a couple of years ago and I feel like, like how often do you need to get them with you, sir? You should really, as part of a protocol, do it every 90 days. Oh, wow.
What does a DEXA scan measure that traditional methods don't?
So if you're on a weight loss program or whether you're doing hormones or peptides, you should really do your DEXA scans every 90 days to evaluate how well you're doing. And if you need to change course of direction, maybe add more resistance exercise, tighten up on your nutrition. So the DEXA helps keep you on the right track. The reason I got one is cause I was worried about visceral fat and, um, I, uh, got like a MRI on my abdomen region and there was a lot of visceral fat. So I wanted to see if it was in other areas of my body. Yeah, absolutely. And visceral fat, as a lot of people know, is a high predictor of heart disease and type 2 diabetes. And ironically, visceral fat is not always connected to somebody that's severely overweight.
It could be a young person like yourself that's in pretty good health. So visceral fat, the only way to know if you have it is to get a DEXA scan done. Yeah. And how long do the scans take for people that never got one? It's about five minutes. It's pretty quick. So non-invasive, you lay down on a table, you can be fully clothed. It's gonna do a scan head to toe, and it's gonna give you some really critical information. So it's gonna tell you where all your fat is stored, your muscle. It's gonna look at your bone health as well.
How often should you get a DEXA scan and why is 90 days important?
And with bone density, that's another critical health marker. If we wanna live a long, healthy life, we have to be concerned with our bone health. And it's interesting because in the insurance-based medicine, in most cases, a female has to be 65 and a male 70 to qualify for a bone density scan. And ironically, there's many people in their 40s and 50s that already have osteoporosis and never been diagnosed or treated. So getting that DEXA scan, getting that total body scan through a lot of these wellness centers throughout the country is really the key to living a long, healthy life. So there's bone issues in, you said, 40s now? It can go even younger than that. We're seeing people in their 30s in cases that have bone density issues.
Drink your milk, guys.
Yeah, drink your milk. Do your resistance exercise. Take your hormone therapy and get a DEXA scan to make sure those things are working. Can't focus, struggling to sleep, or feeling wired? This balances your brain and body fast. A cutting-edge EEG study found something phenomenal with Quantum Upgrade.
