What is hypnosis? It is not what you may think. It is definitely not what you have seen on TV or on stage. It is NOT mind control, you will not do anything you morally don’t agree with and you most definitely won’t become a clucking chicken. Hypnosis is simply focused attention, reduced peripheral awareness and an enhanced capacity to respond to suggestions. In this case, your subconscious mind will be reprogrammed to feel safe to surrender and relax, to leave all your to do’s and worries until tomorrow so you can fully let go and get a good night’s sleep. What are binaural beats? Binaural beats are an auditory illusion caused by listening to two tones of slightly different frequency. The difference in frequencies creates the illusion of a third sound; a rhythmic beat. Neurons in the brain then begin to send electrical messages at the same rate as the imaginary beat. In this case, delta waves were used which are linked to reducing stress, anxiety and improving sleep. How to prep? Get yourself all comfortable in bed and put on this track. The hypnosis is 42 min, the rest is just binaural beats getting your body into a parasympathetic state and lulling you gently to sleep.
