Obviously RTJ talk is discussed, but as a fan, Pip goes in deep for the true heads and gets the background info from El’s days (bad memory not withstanding) hustling the Tower Records mailout system, freestyling on the Stretch & Bobbito show, the Rawkus days, collabos, producing for self and as a team, taking on difficult projects to get out of conventions, “delving into water”, and scoring films (like the forthcoming 'Capone'). Oh and also releasing an eerily prescient 4th RTJ album during a pandemic. If you’re familiar with El-P’s work over the years or have listened to Fantastic Damage more than a few times, you’ll understand that a pandemic is probably the perfect time for an El-related project.
