Ahead of Nasdaq’s partnership with Energy Council for the New York Energy Capital Assembly, Jay Heller, Head of Capital Markets at Nasdaq joins the latest episode of the Energy Council’s Investor Series Podcast to talk about the ways in which Nasdaq is supporting energy companies in raising capital and accessing the capital markets. During the episode, Jay discusses why the energy industry has struggled to access the public markets in recent years and what needs to be done to improve the weighting of energy in the S&P 500 and build scale and relevancy in the public markets. He also shares his perspectives on investor appetite in the energy transition space and gives examples of some of the creative strategies that he is seeing companies pursue to raise capital in the transition space.
