Go, baby. I know. Defense has got some issues. But that was a wonderful way to get the season started. It was my son's birthday. So he got a wonderful birthday present to see the Bears put up 59. We've got a two-part mailbag situation coming at you. I don't know if we've ever done a mailbag two-parter that will be days apart, but in all transparency, although my youngest son has had now multiple birthday parties, which is an entirely different thing. His actual birthday gift is... We're all going as a family out to Chicago Soldier Field. We're going to be at the Bears-Vikings game on Sunday. Going to go spend some time in Chicago for a couple days. And so I'll be out of pocket a little bit. We want to have another episode ready for you early next week.
So that'll be part two. This is part one. But I appreciate the kind words. And we'll see how it goes Sunday at the home opener. But yeah, it was a... It was a fun week. A great, I mean, football back. Feels amazing. Great weekend of football. And 59 points. It was the most points ever by the Bears in a home opener. And yeah, I'm absolutely levitating right now. Even though, again, defense has got a ways to go. But Caleb, MVP season loading? Just maybe.
Your coach said in the offseason, said he wanted to score more points than anybody's ever scored in the NFL. And it sounded to me a little bit like, you know, when coaches get new college basketball jobs and they're like, we're going to play fast. It's like, yeah, okay. So I want to thank him and Josh Allen for guiding me to a cruise control week one win there as well.
