Kira, you're so welcome. Thank you. It's kind of melting in here, isn't it? Yeah. Very warm. Um but I am delighted to have you here. We obviously were talking to each other a little bit this week. And today we are sitting down to have a chat about your loss, which is very recent, to be honest. Um, and so What we're gonna do is go back a little bit and chat about your relationship and about the lovely person that was your sister Jessie.

How many of you was there in the family? So altogether there's six. So mom, dad, and four of us. Four of you, okay. So Jessie was the oldest. Was she? Yes. Okay. Um the boss. She's the boss. Yeah. She was nearly like second mommy at one stage. Um where do you fall in the family then? I'm the baby. Oh you're the baby? I'm the youngest. Wow, okay. Yeah. Um, so it goes Jessie, I have another sister, Still. Okay. So there's four of us. Yeah. Okay, so what was your relationship like with Jessie? So we were lucky that the four of us were like and are were so close. Yeah. So close. So there's eleven years between me and Jessie.

Yeah, so she was always like older, like the older, older sister. Um but yeah, like there's stories, Mum and Dad, and even Jesse used to say to me that when I was born, you know, there was a little bit of a gap from when I was born, obviously, to the other three. So when I was born Jessie nearly went into mommy role. So she was, I'll push her in the boogie, I'll uh don't worry, like I'll put her to sleep, I'll do all that, you leave Kira to me. So yeah, there was always a little bit of mommy kind of in her as well. Yeah.
Um eleven years between you course. Yeah. So eleven year old, like no wonder she was like, Gimme her my baby. Yeah. So tell me about Jessie then. What was she like? What was her character like?
So for me, obviously looking at Jesse, she was the oldest. She was the coolest. The coolest nineties teenager.
Okay.
Ever. Like she was just so cool. Um She would come across quite timid, but the best crack ever. Like she would she'd have a whole room laughing. Um like just her style, even when she was a teenager, I used to look and see, oh my god, like she is so cool. Um she used to do crazy colours in her hair and maybe I'm biased, but she like It's just stunning. Like you would look at her and be God, don't what? She's a bit shy. Yeah. Yeah. But once you get talking to her, yeah. Yeah. She's just she was really soft spoken. Yeah. Yeah. Um, but such a laugh. And it's funny because me and my other sister joke all the time. Me and my other sister Stacy, we would be quite similar in the way that we're you know, you'd hear us before you'd see us.
We'd be louder and, you know, Mum would say, God, you two are so gobby. Like you're just so like especially if we had a bicker between each other and You know, Jessie, she that was in her. All you have to do is just give her a little poke and this joined them at the Ye Oh, she'd join in as well, yeah.
So it's easy to know that we were related, like but uh You know often you'd hear people say when there's an age gap that oh I didn't really get to know them because by the time I was whatever age they had left the house and that kind of thing. Was that Something for ye or was she always around? Do you know what she did leave home quite young?
Yeah. Like twenty one, twenty two.
