What is the opening banter and who are the hosts of this Fantasy Focus episode?
And see. You in the whole six oh one oh focus Yeah.
What's up friends? Welcome into Fantasy Focused Football alongside Field Yates and Liz Loza. My name is Daniel Dobb. Very excited to be here on a Tuesday. Liz, how you doing?
I am great. Thank you for reminding me what day it is though. I'm a little bit discombobulated.
Yeah, we had a long weekend, a lot of football going on. I wasn't here yesterday. I so appreciate you guys being able to do the show without me. Thank you for holding everything down. Especially 'cause you had to work with Mike. I know that's so difficult, guys.
Honestly, we survived. You did. Oh, sorry, I was looking I was staring at my watch because I pressed a button and all of a sudden my watch stopped. And I didn't figure out what I pressed, but I think I fixed it.
Okay, good. I'm glad that that makes me feel better. Okay, uh by the way, I I didn't see you yesterday. I wanted to say this. Shout out to you for Sunday. You look so good on fantasy focus countdown field. I realized that what you look like when you dress down is what I aspire to look like when I dress up. That's when we hit our equilibrium. Like our powers combine. Like you look so good on Sunday, not in a suit for the first time, hosting the show. You look good in a suit as well. I'm just saying. I thought you looked nice. I don't know what uh do
you need something? No, no, no, no. I just wanted to tell you that. As will feel thank you for that. Um I wanted to make Mike feel awkward as the only person wearing wearing a suit. And in my defense, I did tell Mike in advance, like, hey, I felt like after last week when a lot of the crew was dressing down and you and I were dressed in suits, that maybe we were the oddballs. So uh I thought we could meet in the middle. Yeah. Mike was like You did a great job. No. No, Mike, he said he goes, Field, you can't hide money. That's so Let me keep dressing my dressing up.
What do we got on today's show? Today we're going to recap that Monday night football game, unfortunately. Dive into a couple of waiver targets. And then we also have some biggest risers and fallers after the first two weeks. We'll dive into a number of names that have been definitely on the move. But let's start with a little bit of news first. And most importantly, Caleb Williams. Guys, avoided a major hamstring injury. Expected to be week to week, quote unquote, is what we hear from this. Yeah. Don't know if that's one week. Don't know if that's three weeks. Yeah,
awesome clarity.
Don't know what that means there. But what it does mean to us in fantasy is that if you have Caleb Williams, one, you need to make a plan. You need to go out and find another quarterback. Curious, have you guys started to think about how this is going to impact your Chicago Bears rankings across the board, knowing that you will probably get Tyson Bajent under center here?
I
mean,
guys. How much lower could these guys go? That's a great question. This is a double-edged sword, right? So on the one hand, Caleb Williams, Tyson Bajant is a legitimate downgrade, a significant downgrade. Huge. Tyson Bajent's a serviceable backup quarterback, but we thought Caleb Williams was heading towards potential superstars. He looked like one, certainly in week one. Yeah. But Caleb Williams was a superstar in week one without any of his notable contributors doing a thing for fantasy amongst the past. Catchers, right? We have the fact that these guys are just generally downgraded as a group. And the fact that Caleb's not gonna be out there. You're gonna be hard pressed to convince me that Roma Dunze And Luther Burton belong in lineups in week three in a tough matchup.
Yes, they're playing at home. Hopefully it won't be raining like it was on Sunday, but against the Eagles. You want a piece of that? That's certainly not an offense that I want a whole lot of right now, assuming Caleb Williams misses week three. Luther uh Colst Loven will still be a top ten ish tight end for me just because the two wide receivers passing for week three. I'm with you.
I think that's very accurate.
