Which wide receivers are out and who can replace them for Week 2?
Good morning everyone. Get ready for Fantasy Week 2 with a lot of injury updates for you right now on FFT Express. Okay, all the wide receivers are hurt. Nico Collins is out. You know, let's go one by one. Let's go Texans. Nico Collins out against the Bengals.
I don't really want to start any Texans besides David Montgomery and Dalton Schultz. If I had to find a wide receiver, I know a lot of people do because all the wide receivers are hurt. Xavier Hutchinson would be my favorite on the Texans. Kaishawn Booty would be right behind him. I have very little confidence in either one of them.
Okay. I'm I'm intrigued by Hutchinson. He's he was good in the two games that Collins missed last year. Well, he he was good in one of them and he got thirteen targets in the other one. It's terrible because Stroud was so bad. Um Zay Flowers is out and also their left tackle Ronnie Stanley may not play. So wide receivers for the Ravens. And are we concerned about Lamar Jackson at all?
Uh I downgraded Lamar just a little bit. I don't know that I actually have him behind anybody that you might also be rostering with Lamar Jackson. Um, he's still a QB one for me. But not a top six QB. Um, and I feel worse about the Ravens pass catchers in terms of starting them than I do the Texans, except for Mark Andrews, who I do think is a top eight tight end. And you should start him if you have him.
Ready for this stat? Are you sitting down? Yeah. Okay, great.
How should I handle the uncertain status of Puka Nacua?
Stand up now. Um so Rashad Bateman's rookie year was 2021. He did not do well that year. Uhhuh. But since then, since his second year in the league He's got five games with at least seven targets.
Yeah.
He has fifty yards and a touchdown, at least fifty yards and a touchdown in all five of those games.
Yeah. How about that? What wasn't even a part of the offensive equation in the second half last week when Zay Flowers got hurt.
I think they threw like nine passes in the second half or something like that. So yeah. But but you're right. But you're right. Um Puka Nakua. What are we doing about Pukanakua? Questionable with a groin injury. Also Jordan Whittington has a quad injury. And also the Giants secondary is beat up. So it'd be a great opportunity for somebody here. But who's it going to be, if anyone?
We have no idea. And you have to play the risk tolerance game with this one. Um, what I would say is like if you have a top I I would probably need a top twenty wide receiver to replace him with. to not wait Puka out unless we get information. Um so I I did in a deeper league go pick up Kanada Mumfield just to have somebody to put on my ros put to put in my lineup if Puka didn't play because I'm going to wait it out.
Yeah, that's a good idea.
What’s the best strategy for Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston this week?
Um, like I'm looking at a league where I'm currently start jeez, man. I have Nico and Puka. I'm starting Casey Concepcion and Brian Thomas Jr. I think I'm just gonna bench Concepcion for for Puka Nakua and just
be you know You you gotta try to score some
points. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Um okay, so Canada Mumfield would be your guy. What about one of the tight ends? You think Terrence Ferguson would benefit or something?
Oh, I I think it's a great opportunity. Um if you could get him in a flex and put Terren I'd rather have Terrence Ferguson in the flex than than Mumfield. I'd probably rather have um Malachi Fields also.
Okay. Okay. Uh it's it's a tough one. It's really a tough one and they're just not certain about Puka Nakua and there just hasn't really been a big history. I mean, I think Tutu Atwell once upon a time was was not bad a couple of years ago. Um replacing him. I'm gonna get the stats. I should have had the stats for this morning show, and I'm very sorry, but I'll have them uh for the last couple of years when Puka was out, last last season when Devontae Adams was out. In fact, I'll have those pretty soon and just see who got the opportunities who stepped up. Um Vlad McConkey, questionable, but positive report overnight. We think in start Ladd McConkey, he's got a late game.
I think if if you have Ladd McConkie, you should start Ladd McConkie.
