Hello everybody, welcome into the Fantasy Pros Football Podcast. I'm Ryan warmly joined by Jake Seely from The Athletic and by Pat FitzMorris, and we are talking week three starts and sits today. Are we starting to shoot some of these waiver ads that were popular this this week? And then also our touchdown calls. at the end of the show as always. Before we jump in, Jake, how are you doing here?
I'm doing great. I know I got the black with the navy blue, but I am in full celebration mode this week for the return of Darkwing Duck, so that's that's all I can think about. This is one that that day was top five announcements
of my life. I I saw you tweeting about it. I've never seen Darkwing Duck, but I've saw you tweeting about it and I knew we would get a T shirt from you today. So I've uh I didn't want to was fully
expecting this.
I also expected that response as well. Fitz, are you a Darkwing Duck fan?
I can't say I am. Uh yeah, just haven't been doing a lot of animated television lately. What mean lately? It was the nineties. And by lately
I mean the last thirty years. Re relative to the span of Fitz's life, nineties is lately, actually. Uh all right. Well I I can't really act contribute to a Darkwing Duck conversation. I just saw you tweet about it. So I'm very happy for you, my friend, Jake. But uh yeah, done. I'd be happier
if I can find a way to voice something on the show. That's that's bucket list. Just give me like one line on any of these shows. That's all I'm doing.
We'll start that campaign for you here. See if anybody in our audience happens to know the right person can get you on there. Uh let's go ahead and jump into the show. We're gonna start as we always do with the po most popular waiver ads of the week. And are those guys that you are picking up to sash for the long term and just take a chance on, or are they guys that you wanna be actually starting here right off the bat? Um, I just want to note that uh the most popular waiver wire, at least of In terms of just following on Twitter and seeing who we were getting the most questions about and the people were talking about the most in our audience was Jonah Coleman. I'm not including him because since becoming a very popular waiver ad, he then wasn't practicing on Wednesday.
So with all the injury uncertainty, also it seems like you know, JK Dobbins might actually be more okay than we thought. I didn't think it made sense to include him. I still think he's obviously very smart long-term stash, just in case, but um I don't want to include him in this segment. So I just want to note that because he is such a popular name, people might be surprised why he didn't come up. Let's jump into the names that I did include here on the sheet. Uh the first one I have is actually a tight end, Ronde Gadston. Obviously Charlie Kollar and uh David Njoku get hurt in the week two game for the Chargers. The offense hasn't been good, but there is now an opportunity here in an offense that we thought was going to be good.
He obviously flashed at times last season, so Gadston became a very popular pickup at tight end. I know I picked him up in one very deep league Fitz, I'll start with you. Is he somebody that you're interested in starting right away at tight end?
I am less interested in starting him than uh maybe just having him as a a break glass in case of emergency starter. Like I've got him ranked tight end sixteen this week.
