Hey, great to join you guys. And you're right, the big Ag PhD field day coming up on Thursday, July 30th. It is a lot of work, but it's also a lot of fun. My wife tells me all the time, I'm just worn out at the end of that day from talking to so many folks and just running around and seeing all that there is to see. And she's like, oh man, you've been working hard. And I'm like, ah, it doesn't feel like I've been working. I've been having a lot of fun talking to a lot of friends, talking to a lot of farmers from all over. I could do that every day.
This What's Working in Ag segment we started years ago, and I feel like you guys were doing that long before we ever were because truly this one-day event is showcasing what's working in ag.
Yeah, are you teasing the gray in the beard here? I'm not sure what you're getting at with that. Hey, I'm catching up. I'm catching up. Yeah, you are.
I think just in the week I was gone, I think you got more gray.
Yeah.
Well, you know, it certainly is one of those things that if we're all lucky enough, we will catch a little bit of gray, no doubt about it. But along the way, you get to see a lot of things. And, you know, my grandparents talked about farming with horses and those kinds of things. So we're not that far away from that level of technology to what we've got today. It is exciting. There's so much going on with AI now and with autonomous vehicles and all these things. It's pretty cool.
I'm sure you'll have lots of discussions about AI as a topic during that field day, but we've always described it to our listeners as these events. When we get to see everybody out in the public, we get to take in and learn right alongside our listeners and our audiences is like a drug. You get done with that day and it's like coming off of a high. Yeah. It's exciting.
Yeah, it is. And you know, the thing I like too guys is, and you see it as well, is there are farmers from all over at the Ag PhD field day and, and they're all, at different levels of learning. And some, some are definitely ahead of us in, in certain areas, no question about it and getting to talk to them. And, and you find out, Oh, wow, you've been doing that for a couple of years already. I haven't even heard of that. That is so cool. That would have really helped me on my farm. And there's so many folks that are willing to share and, and have those discussions that, that is sometimes more valuable than anything else that you see. It's just great to talk to other people who have already done it.
Yeah. Is there anything new that's coming to the field day this year that you're excited about?
Oh, man, there are a number of equipment things coming and I'm not even allowed to talk about them.
