What advancements are being made in manure management technology?
You might think Iowa just grows corn, but the truth is, corn grows Iowa. I'm Joe Roberts, Iowa Corn Promotion Board President and farmer from Wright County. Checkoff dollars open local and global markets for corn and corn products. Together, we're investing in research for new uses, growing and expanding global markets, and increasing consumer knowledge of the over 4,000 products made from corn. We're not just growing a crop, we're growing demand. To learn more about how your checkoff dollars are increasing your farm's profitability, visit iowacorn.org.
And now, a message from our friends from Brandt Agriculture Products. The Brandt high-speed disc is built to manage residue, prepare seed beds, and level ruts in the toughest of conditions.
With sealed disc hubs and minimal maintenance, it's designed to get the job done right. Plus, you get your choice of disc blades and finishing options to match your fields.
How does the new 908 HP Booster X Lead Pump improve efficiency?
And now it's backed by Brandt's new four-year warranty on those disc hubs and a five-year warranty on the frame structure. That's confidence you can count on.
Talk to your local Brandt dealer or visit brandt.ca to learn more.
I used to put whenever I'd mess myself up on Facebook. I'm glad I did that. I don't do that now. But when I started doing safety presentations, that's how I introduced myself. Tell guys to try to break down that wall that I'm not just this industry guy up in front. I've been there. I've done it. I've had near misses. I've still, my knees, my everything, I'm still messed up from it, you know, 10 and a half years later. But I've had a lot of people mention that. You're the first person I've sat in on a safety presentation that I didn't feel like a loser. You realize that everyone has these near misses, just we don't talk about it.
What challenges do lagoon systems face in manure management?
And that's, to me, that's one of the big things. We need to talk about it so everyone can learn about it. Learn from other people's mistakes. The gas safety, the air pressure safety with drag line, that's one of my biggest things is air pressure safety.
Ladies and gentlemen, farmers, ranchers, and distinguished guests, thank you for listening to the Farm for Profit podcast, where we discuss the latest ideas, methods, trends, and techniques available to help your farm achieve higher levels of farm profitability. Remember, if you aren't farming for profit, you won't be farming for long.
Good morning, everybody. Welcome to the Custom Harvesters Annual Convention. Right away, first day, first thing in the morning, we're going to start it off with a shitty conversation. We're going to get it right out of the way. First thing, first time. Listeners, thanks for joining us on the Farm for Profit podcast. This is Tanner hanging in solo for this conversation. Hopefully I do a shitty job because I think as you dive into the topic today, you're really going to enjoy the route that we go for this. Excited to get our guest introduced, but want to remind everybody, you can find us www.farmforprofit.com.
How are precision nutrient placement systems changing agriculture?
You can also send in suggestions for topics like today to 515-207-9640. It's fun to hear from you, whether it's a polite compliment or something that we should do better or differently. All of those opinions matter. You can also send us an email to connect at farmforprofit.com. That's how we know we should be at events like this, or we should come to your town or do an interview with somebody that you want us to talk to. But as I alluded to, I think it's going to be a great conversation, maybe a shitty topic, but one that is applicable to everybody that has livestock, even if it's a gerbil like Corey's daughters. there's still manure that you have to deal with. So excited to introduce Isaac Leminis here with Noon.
Now, I think we should have done the Noon interview at noon. Could be. Rather than first thing.
There you go.
That'd be great. But we can't. We missed it.
What role does customer feedback play in product development?
We missed the bailout shot. That's when lunch is here and you do not miss a meal at this event.
No, no. And as you can see, I don't miss meals either. You can call me late, but never late for dinner.
