For brands, we talk about the best ways to actually partner with creators, the different use cases for ShopMai, and what to expect out of different campaigns and features on the platform. And for founders, ShopMai has an evaluation of 1.5. billion. Kaylee sheds light on what she thinks has made Shopmai truly stick and stand out and where she sees the future of the creator economy going. If you're not on the platform yet, I'll be sharing my referral link in the episode notes. I am so excited to share this episode. It is truly a Shopmai success guide. So let's get into it. And if you're able to leave the podcast a rating, a review, and follow or subscribe wherever you listen, it really helps the show grow and helps us continue to get incredible guests like Kaylee.

One of my favorite services now in fashion that I truly look forward to every single month is my Rent the Runway subscription. And I did the math for you guys so you can see just how good it is. They gave me a code to share with podcast listeners. So Rent The Runway starts. out at $129 a month for five pieces. If you add in the 50% off code, that comes to $64.50 total. So that's $12.90 a piece. So then you get to wear a $1,000 dress for essentially $13. And I honestly love renting things. I love having it for a specific occasion for a reason and then sending it back and not having that clutter in my home. If I decide that I love the piece or really wish I actually always had this, they almost always have a discount happening that allows you to buy it for 50% off.
Victoria Smith 2:15
So then you can get that piece. And it's just such a hack. I think they're often also new with tags I've received things. So it's code in all caps RTRX V Smith50 that you can use. To get Rent the Runway for 50% off your membership. It's their most competitive deal out there right now, so don't miss it. Well, hi Kaylee. Hi. I am so excited to have you on the podcast. ShopMai is one of my favorite companies recently. I feel like everyone's been obsessed with it and I can't wait to hear how you got there.
Caley-Rae Pavillard 2:52
Thank you so much for having me.
Victoria Smith 2:54
Truly honored and so excited to chat. You've held such interesting roles there. You joined as the head of creators. Yep. And now you're VP of partnerships and business development. What does that look like at ShopMy?
Caley-Rae Pavillard 3:05
Yeah. So kind of my my arc to getting there is quite long. So I studied advertising and fashion media at SMU. And during that time it was really like the true rise of fashion bloggers. So this was about twenty eleven and simultaneously two SMU alum were kind of creating one of the very first creator monetization platforms. So I feel like I had This front row seat to what we now have like defined as the creator economy. And I think I really developed conviction early on that creators were going to be entrepreneurs and big businesses. And so I feel very fortunate that in my roles prior to Shop My and now at ShopMai, like that's something I get to help do is them grow their entrepreneurial journey. And and their businesses.
Caley-Rae Pavillard 3:58
And so prior to being at ShropMai, I was at another creator economy platform that helped creators aggregate kind of all of their offerings together and really understand the data so they could better speak to their audiences and target their audiences. And so given my familiarity with affiliate, I was like, okay, well, affiliate is going to grow and be huge.
