Story number one. Number one. Hi Jerry, Morgan, and Justin. Huge fan of THT and am a recent listener of FKS.
Jerry 1:39
We we are so glad and we have two hundred and now nine episodes. It is
Justin 1:44
true. I mean, there really is not a difference between the beginning and where we're at now. Just in terms of just Giving advice for all of these problems.
Jerry 1:55
And there's a lot of stories. There's a lot. Think about the think about the number, two hundred times five. Right off the bat,
Justin 2:03
a thousand reads. I'm writing to you guys today as I've struggled badly with grief for the last three years of my life and simply don't know how to move on from it. In January of twenty twenty three, I lost my beautiful mother to a sudden heart attack. It was the biggest shock my family has ever been through. And the relationship between certain family members will never be the same. My mom truly was the glue that held our family together. On hard days all I want to do is call my mom, hear her voice because she always makes everything better. It breaks my heart in ways I don't know how to explain that I'll never get to speak to her again. There's a hole in my heart that feels like will never be patched up and I don't know what to do.
Justin 2:49
I've felt numb for the last three years now. I'm writing this a day before what would have been my mom's sixty sixth birthday. And can't stop thinking about what could have been. Thank you for listening. My ideal outcome would be to learn to navigate life with this heavy grief.
Jerry 3:07
I've been through this. My dad died on a Tuesday morning. I have a picture bef the day before he passed away, and you would never know that guy was not going to show up the next day. So I understand that shock. And you know, it's in in many of our episodes, I certainly talk about grief and you know listening to your inner self because that's where they talk to you. And some people believe it. Some people will say, that's your feeling, but I don't buy that. And it's all what you feel. But uh something that I certainly experience and I will always say it because I believe it to my core that if you listen and you think this is what they would have said, maybe it's just what they're saying to you. and open your heart and your mind that that's a possibility.
Jerry 3:56
Your family? I believe that everything when someone passes away, especially if they were not prepared or suddenly, everything should be locked down for a year. Because the behavior that we all have is just the same as if you were to take a lizard and take off its tail. The tail's still gonna wiggle and go crazy, but there's no head telling it what to do. And that's the way we are when we lose our anchor. Mom was your anchor. She she had everybody. Everyone was able to function because she was the head. And that's what happens with matriarchs and patriarchs, is they really are your security. I'm not saying even financial security. I'm really saying they are your. They're your anchor.
Justin 4:42
Yeah.
Jerry 4:42
That's where you get everything. You got everything from your mom and your dad. Your mom is certainly a very good anchor for you. She you have a problem she's able to talk to you and you guys relate. I had a relationship with my mom the same way that I was able to relate.
