Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
Camouflage isn't just for the woods. It's for looking cool. Camerado makes gear that disappears in nature, but looks good at Costco. Zero tactical cringe. Camerado. C-A-M-O-R-A-D-O dot com. Right, man?
This episode of Double Tap is brought to you by Gideon Optics, Diaprico, Frost Martin, Flatline Fiberco, Second Call Defense, and Otis Technology.
Welcome to Double Tap, episode 449.
Your cast tonight is the three that you love and the three that you love to hate. No, I'm kidding. Aaron's not here. But it is Nick from Bus Built Systems, it's Jeremy from River's Edge Tactical in Valley City, Ohio, and it is me, Sean, your guide in tonight's Twilight Zone of Tardation. Am I allowed to say that these days? I forget.
I don't know.
I mean, it's my word. I'm taking it back.
Yeah.
Yeah. No one can take Twilight from me. Were you guys still drunk from Valentine's Day or what?
That's not how I expected that to go.

Chapter 2: What should I consider when choosing a carry gun for travel?
So my wife got all the dark chocolate pieces and then I got to eat the milk chocolate heart.
I honestly don't understand dark chocolate. It's like people were like, you know what? Chocolate's too good. Let's fucking ruin it.
I love dark chocolate. You're racist. It's so good.
I just don't. I don't like it. I don't think it's disgusting like I used to, but if I have the choice between dark chocolate or a butthole, I'm going to choose a butthole every day. That's all I'm saying.
I mean, you would do that either way.
Yeah, I would. It's like I used to be stupid, but well, I still am, but I also used to be.
I like dark chocolate because it is not as sweet.
Yeah.
That seems like the antithesis of eating candy.

Chapter 3: How do I navigate gun-free zones during family outings?
And I like their stuff a lot. We should do a challenge where it's like the Die Free Co. Challenge, where they buy a grip and put it on.
Yeah, that's the whole challenge. I was going to say, where's the challenge?
No, that's the challenge. Go buy a DaiFrico Kung Fu Grip and put it on. I challenge you. I bet you can't. I bet you won't. I bet you're sus. Sus, huh? Yeah, yeah. Dude, I mean, I don't know. Can you think of anything that we could give away?
Yeah, we could give away something from Jeremy's store.
Uh, we could give away, uh, Nick's anal virginity. Oh, I gave that away a long time ago.
I mean, you can keep giving it away. It's fine. Just, uh, just declare that virginity works, John.
Oh, well then my exes have some explaining to do.
Yeah. It's never been cashed in, but I do believe I did sell that at some point. So To a doctor, probably. Probably, yeah.
Because you like them.

Chapter 4: What factors should I consider about firearms at large crowd events?
How about Jeremy? Jeremy.
Jeremy, will you punch Nick in the face for me?
Sure. I'd be honored.
Deal. Deal, Nick. Didn't go the way you expected it to.
You'd probably get in trouble. Let's see if we can fuck up the front of his digestive tract as bad as the back end of it.

Chapter 5: What are the differences in recoil between MP5K variants?
Dude, you punched me so hard that one time it almost gave me ulcerative colitis. I think I still have a bruise from that. That's not how any of this works. Uh, anyway, die free co they do make awesome parts. And I challenge you to go buy a Kung Fu grip. And if you don't like it, I wonder what their return policy is. Because you would have already installed it, so you probably can't do that.
But if you don't like it, well, then you just have to live with the consequences of your own actions. And I think that's a really good lesson that everyone can have. By the way, the full stops are back in stock. And actually, I say that, but I have to double check because it was out of stock for a while. And they are, they are back in stock. The quick stops are also in stock right now.
And, uh, I recommend that you go try something at 20 bucks for a Kung Fu grip. Plus you get 15% off by using coupon code WLS is life at die free.com. Like how can you even beat that? You can't. So don't try. All right. K2A Armory said, love my Kung Fu grip. Is that a euphemism? And Dirty said, a couple weeks ago, Jeremy mentioned a wild Ross Martin came into the shop.
95% sure that was his buddy and his dad.
I don't remember.
I don't remember you saying that.
Isn't the Kung Fu grip when you're jerking off, but you grab it like this, not like this?
No, it's the thing that G.I. Joe had.
Yeah.

Chapter 6: What are the latest updates in the gun industry news?
That's crazy. I did not know that. Until now.
I want to say chamber pressure for a 45 Colt is under 20,000 or it's right around there. I don't remember off the top of my head, but it's 20,000 give or take a few thousand.
Damn.
If I remember correctly, I'll leave myself that out, if I remember correctly. But, like, yeah, there's a big difference between, you know, cavitating somebody's chest with a fucking .454 hollow point and then a .45 Colt, which is, like, a third? Yeah, I had no idea. Yeah. I want to say a .454 Casull with a 260-grain bullet is going damn near 2,000 feet of a second.
I don't remember the barrel length, but it's going damn near 2,000. Like a 300-grain bullet's doing like 1,600 out of a handgun. So a 260-grain bullet's pushing the ever-loving fuck out of two grand. And a .45 Colt's doing a 250-grain bullet going like 7,750. Damn. That's crazy. All right. Well, today I learned... No. .44 Special and .45 Colt are not good for meth country. Get a double stack 9mm.
Right. Or carry an actual big bore revolver.
Yeah. Sounds good. Question from Matt A. from Florida. Recently, I attended a concert and had to go through a metal detector and scanner. It got me thinking about large crowd events and what if there was an active shooter situation and here I am unarmed with my family and unable to protect them. So reference gun-free zones or large crowd events.
What is the crew's thoughts about going to large crowd events, places that prohibit firearms or carrying in areas that do not have metal detectors or scanners? and are considered gun-free zones, or do you just avoid these places altogether?
In listening, I believe Jeremy is the only one with small children, so do you not go places like amusement parks or places that would have metal detectors or scanners or schools events? Thanks for the insight. Love the show! Exclamation point, exclamation point. This is actually something that I think about a lot, and I feel like, I don't know. I lived a large portion of my life, I think, naive.

Chapter 7: How can I effectively clean and maintain my firearms?
And the only reason we weren't still there when it went off was my mom or my dad... I think it was my mom was like, I really want to go listen to earth, wind and fire. And they were playing right. And they were playing like at some other venue that was like a short walk away.
So we walked over there and when we got home, we turned on the news and it was like, and people were like frantically calling the, I don't think anybody had a cell phone. Right. And they were like calling my uncle Mylon's apartment like frantically. And they're like, turn on the news, turn on the news. Like, are you guys okay? And they're like, what the hell's going on?
They're like, turn on the news. And the bombing went off. And we were like a half hour before that bomb exploded. I literally, I walked 30 feet from that tower.
That's fucking crazy, man. Damn. that's yeah we were this close that's so so crazy i could have been famous well in today uh some high school hockey game some dude dressed as a woman uh like murked his wife and kids in the audience and then himself man i that's what i've seen so far i don't want to like say fully that it was uh trans violence but it does appear to be
So yeah, man, I try to avoid big stuff like that. Nick, what about you?
I don't know. I mean, I don't let it stop me from doing something that I really want to do, but I do try to be mindful.
Yeah. The only time I'll really go, like we went and saw Turnpike Troubadours and Trampled by Turtles in concert a couple months ago. That's dope. But it was at the Wolstein Center in downtown Cleveland. But it was like security out the fucking ass. And it was like walk in through metal detectors to get there. Like it was not. I was like, oh, shit.
Like, oh, this is like everybody that walked into that building had a fucking metal detector.

Chapter 8: What are the benefits of using a red dot sight on an LPVO?
I was like, all right. So like the only part I was actually nervous was the walk between the car and the building.
yeah and even then like a lot of times you'll be in a place uh you know going to hockey games at the pepsi center you know if you don't park on the property and even if you do park on the property like it's pretty fucking sketchy neighborhood i don't even think it's called the pepsi center anymore but you know what i mean somebody was asking how you deal with bums yeah because they like come up to you i was like just jack one in the face as hard as you can the rest of them leave you alone
Did you say jack him off?
I said jack him in the face. Oh. Just, you know. Jack off on his face. I misunderstood. Jack off on his face. Jeremy, next. Assert dominance.
Gross. Next question's yours.
Um... Question from Lag Demon from Minnesota. From Lag Demon, I want to get an MP5K. I'm leaning towards a PTR9RS. Is there a difference in recoil from the receiver sizes? Because the MP5K has a shorter receiver than the reverse stretch version. Both have the same four and a half inch barrel. I would doubt there would be much. I don't know, but I would doubt there'd be much.
A, there's no fucking MP5 recoil to speak of anyway.
Yeah.
I don't know.
