This is new careers, new resume. So as far as new business goes for myself, I don't, I'm trying to remember where I was because I was out last week trying. I was so bad. The replacement finally arrived.
So I have a Zyphos. I might be listing another Zyphos for sale. And the reason why I will list a Zyphos Staccato C or CS holster is because I changed my thumb safety. to an Atlas thumb safety, which is like their competition. It's bigger. Shielded, it's bigger. And it didn't fit the holster. So Tier 1 made me a custom holster to fit the thumb safety.
So if you are still rocking the stock Staccato C or CS thumb safety, I got a Zyphos holster I'm probably going to throw up for you to grab on the cheap. It's brand new and never used, so... I might know somebody. Or I might have to get a second one so I can put the meth guy in. I knew that was coming. Or I've got a holster. I might as well get a gun.

So what arrived in the mail this week to my door is my YHM suppressor. And when I say arrived to my door, went through Silencer Central, and I didn't have an account there. So they mailed me physical paper fingerprints with the actual ink. I did the fingerprints at home, mailed them back.
They scanned them, verified they looked good, and then created an account, did all the forms, did all the normal things.

But what I do have is, um, Well, I had mentioned before that next competition season, I'm probably going to use my Staccato C2. And just like my M&P, I have two of them, and I would like to have a backup that would support my stuff.
From the community, between you guys watching live, friends in the industry, I've got nine mags for my Staccato C2. 16 rounders and 17 rounders. And I'm very fortunate because I didn't pay full price on it. but I don't know if I need nine mags for one gun. So I did some thinking, did some searching, had some ideas.
I was going to get another Staccato C2, but I thought that'd be kind of lame to have two of the exact same thing. Oh, real lame, real lame. So an opportunity came to me today, and I seized it, and I now have a Staccato PM. That's so this is not anything flashy. This is not something new and cool from some shot show this year. This is the tried and true duty. Do it all.
Staccato P. It's literally one of the most popular options out there. And I'm stoked to have it. I've got an idea of where we're going with this one. I'm not sure which one's going to be my primary at all. Already did some reps with it. Kind of fits my holster. Just the front end, the nose fits through a little bit. So I've already swapped the grips to make sure everything works.
If I wanted a shorter end, long end thing, I mean, it'll do work. So I know a lot of people love the Pete. I'm really digging it already just from, you know, tinkering with it around the house. And yeah, so I wasn't planning on having two staccatos in less than a year. But that looks good. And I know it's like you said, it's very, very factory compared to what we're doing.

If so, I want a pistol, but no, when I got there and I found out how they, uh, set up the competition, uh, Um, you register for two. So you pay for this competition. It was 30 bucks per person, right? Hey, 30 bucks for your PCC. You pay another 30 bucks to run a pistol. So you enter yourself in twice. Um, and then when you go and you do the, the stages, um,
You run the same stage as the pistol guys, but this particular one, because it was an outlaw match, they have it set. So like you have to hit head boxes instead of just the full silhouette. Sure. So every target to head box, or if you have to hit steel, depending on the steel, sometimes instead of hitting it once, you have to hit it twice.

So that was pretty cool. One of the guys that we were rolling with in our group, there's two people. One was an older lady, dude. And this lady had to be... Damn, bro. Yeah, I would say you have to think about the caliber of the gun and then the range at which you're going to be trying to get the stretch out to and what your hold is going to be at those different distances. So 50 yards on a 5.56 is pretty solid.
And just like Rob Mad Science Tactical says, when you get out to 250, it'll zero again because of velocity and drop right on. Ah, perfect. That science is odd to me. Like, why would you go further out? It, like, it corrects itself. Yeah. But, yeah, it's also, you know, obviously, you know, like, things like pistol, caliber, grain, all that stuff factors in.

Chapter 6: How do you determine the best distance to zero a PCC?
I just got to confirm. Tomorrow I'll be getting the zeros dialed in and I should be ready to rock and roll. So when we hit the range, you and I can bring the PCCs and the rifles out for a little bit. Do a couple of rounds here and there. You know what I'm saying? Just stay fresh on it. Nothing like we do on the pistols. 400 round sessions. I don't plan on doing 400 round rifles sessions.
But I am bringing like 300 rounds of rifle for tomorrow. Well, again, I think that I've heard in some communities that I'm connected to or a part of online where people say, yep, went to the range, 500 rounds. We did 1,000 rounds. We did...
and i don't see any proof of it i don't see any improvement in skill i i assume it's just people that are just going out there banging and that's cool yeah but uh training with the purpose can be done with just 50 or 100 rounds and i think that might be a future video for the macros that's true that's true i definitely uh that's that's very true

I have to like set it so it hangs off and then I can't immediately leave and go home. I have to bake in like another 10 minutes for it to cool before I can actually pack up.
I'm used to just, you know, shooting and run, you know? And I do have another question for the group that's listening. I know there's a few people that already left. Suppressor covers, right? I'm curious. Is that a good thing? Is it for looks? Is it worth it? Is it not? Like the wraps or whatever? Yeah. Does it damage the suppressor? I never could find real information on it.
I do know that it obviously protects the suppressor. And when it's hot, you can lay it down without melting stuff. But does it ruin the integrity? of it yeah so I'm very curious I don't know yeah I don't know either I do want to get one for this for that reason exactly what you just said especially doing the competitions the way they're running them yeah Gotta be able to ditch it.
Round stages and you're like, oh yeah, now let me go put this down real quick. Especially some sandy places, you know. Yeah, yeah. You might be completely changing what that looks like later. And there's a variety. Dude, I will tell you right now, the range of price on that thing...
