Chapter 2: How can you track your firearm collection effectively?
You probably will hear from episode to episode recipes for what we do. Remember, we're telling you what we do. We're not telling you what you should do. What you should do is you should stick with published loads.
So, you know, we disavow any responsibility for damages done because you might not be following a safe and careful reloading practice that Jeremy or I or Jason or Trevor or Mike might be following. And it could possibly be the fact that you might have a tighter chamber. You might have a looser rifling. You might not get the velocity we do or you might get more. If you're going to take an...
Reload, understand, you're responsible for what you do. We are not.
Hello. Welcome to the Reloading Podcast on the Firearms Radio Network. Presented by Patriot Patch Company.
I thought you were going to do some Bob Ross there for a second. Mike, you got to do a little bit of that touch up there.
So I got a new shirt. Yeah. My sister-in-law got me this for Christmas. It's a beautiful shirt.
I didn't bring this up earlier. Look like you made it through Saturday. Okay. Yep. Yep.

Chapter 3: What safety precautions should you take when reloading?
This is what it is. I was rooting for both sides because my team ain't in it. So I can just watch football and enjoy it once.
See what I kind of really wanted to have happen. Obviously it's not going to now is I wanted Rogers dealers. Yes, that would have been, I wanted, well, I, That's what I really wanted was Packers-Steelers. But after the Packers lost, what I wanted to see is Steelers-Bears. Rodgers beat the Bears, and he can go, I still own you, and walk off the field. But it's not.
I think it's going to be Seattle and Buffalo.
We haven't seen Seattle in playoffs yet. Even though they're going to have the home field advantage, 12th man, it's going to be hard for anybody to go in there and play. Same thing with Denver in the winter.
Yep.
I think Buffalo can go beat Denver, though.
I don't want Josh Allen. Josh Allen is this generation's Peyton Manning. Couldn't beat Tom Brady, but if Tom Brady goes out, Peyton makes a run. I don't want him to be this generation's Peyton Manning.
But he's not, because there really isn't a Tom Brady for this generation.
Gotta get Mahomes. If you were to put somebody in there, you gotta put Mahomes in there.

Chapter 4: What are the latest updates from the SHOT Show?
Her season was done by the time that happened anyway.
And I have friends, guys I know that work inside the organization. The exhaustion has just beat them so bad this year from the last couple years. They played three extra seasons over the last six years. Yeah. They're tired.
But you've got to figure out how to arrest them. That was never an excuse with other organizations.
Everybody's like, oh, is Travis going to retire? No, he's coming back when we're here. I hope so. He's not going to go out like this. He'll want to go out.
He could still play...
quite a few seasons oh yeah he wants to but he won't he won't be i don't want to pay him as much as he was getting paid because that takes away from all the guys but it yeah if he could stay around the organization be a key player in situations for a couple more years be nice but we'll see yep we got some other holes we're gonna fail for sure yep uh packers needs a secondary we need as well we need everything it feels like we have no secondary uh did you see the note from raggle
I don't remember what web was. I had one, I thought, but I don't remember where I put it. I'm just going to grab a random page, and I will do some research, and I'll have something ready for the end of the show.
All right. Sounds good. I was trying to help somebody with their Square DLB problem. It wasn't sizing all the way, but I don't know if we figured it out or not. That's why the Square DLB is back up, but I don't think you can see it. It's just out of camera view. Oh, cricky. So I took a buddy of mine shooting today. He got to, he was, he had emailed or he texted me. He was interested.
He'd felt my dagger a few weeks ago. He started looking for a pistol.

Chapter 5: Which new products are being introduced in reloading?
and uh so he was kind of interested in it and then um he had texted me this morning about uh what if i was working or not and if what time he you know if i was or wasn't what time he could stop over because he wanted to check my pistol out again because he's seriously contemplating one and uh i said i can do you one better i said i'm going to the range today you can tag along and then you can shoot it so he went to the range with me we uh i got the
Gideon that's on top of the dagger pretty much sighted in, all things considered. The Vortex isn't quite sighted back in on the Canik. Because, you know, Vortex, God forbid, we actually make an optic that goes on that the battery's not on the frickin' bottom.
Well, the new ones are, but that's just the new line of stuff.
And the new ones are horribly overpriced. Yeah, I agree. Because somewhere along the lines, Vortex forgot what they are. And now they're just as bad as everybody else. Let's make a bunch of crap overseas and charge a shit ton of money for it. So I'm not buying Vortex anymore unless they get a really good deal on it.
I think my next scope, I'm going to sell my Vortex. I got a Strike Eagle, I think. Yeah. I don't remember. Or maybe it's not. It's a Dimeback Tactical. They're entry precision scope. So it's got no zero stop turrets, no illuminated reticle. I'm probably going to be selling that. What's the power on it? 5 to 25. Okay. Not interested.
It's on my 6.5, but I'm going to upgrade to an Arkin for the money. Those Arkans are incredible for the money. I had some fun come back this week, so... Yeah. I got my Seapracer. Nice. So...

Chapter 6: How do different cartridges compare in terms of performance?
Right over four days. Nice. Which was good to see. So Gordon Carbine is officially done. Awesome. Waiting for the lower. Well, I will put quotations around done. It's on a pistol lower right now. Right. You're waiting for the correct lower. My lower is at the shop going into the engraving probably this weekend. And then once I get that back. Because that's an SBR, isn't it? Correct. It's 12.5.
Yeah.
And that's why I've not done one before, because at one time you're talking to tax stamp gun. Yeah. So that's 400 bucks previous. Yep. So now that it's zero, it's well worth it. But yeah, once we get that back, SBR it. And the only thing I got to get is a little 30 millimeter low ring for my vortex strike fire to optic. That's going to go on it. Get the correct barrel mount.
Yeah.
They'll set up. They'll set up a little bit.
yeah being it's on the carry handle and then there's an optic mount on top of the carry handle i need the low low low just at the lowest 30 millimeter ring single scope ring i can get yeah so uh need that and just get the flashlight mounted and she's ready to go so there you go then i gotta figure out how i'm painting i'm not gonna paint the suppressor obviously i'm gonna paint the rifle because we're also building a mark 12 upper right now um what are you looking to do for painting
I'm going to do... Are you looking for a redneck camo? It's going to get rattle-canned, yeah. It's going to go rattle-canned, and how I'm going to do it is I'm going to go the stripe serration, and then I'm going to go to a darker green into a brown up near the front side block where it blends into the black of the can.
That's what I'm going to do, so it kind of naturally transitions into the black. You should just do a revision. Well, they wouldn't have been Rhodesian color for that. I know, but not for this. It will get rattle can for sure.
Yeah, that's not bad. I'm not talking about the part that actually floats up and down in the dye. That's the only thing he's talking about as I'm looking at two Dylan powder dispensers right here. So, I mean, it's possible, especially if you get powder around it or if it corrodes. You know, you get condensation in there, you get some corrosion in there. It's definitely possible.

Chapter 7: What is the historical significance of the 11 by 60mm cartridge?
What does it is? Oh, it looks like it's a call it. That is what it looks like. Yep. Floating bullet guy, both city. Oh, so no, it's a, that's a floating bullet guy. Didn't interesting. Looks like they've done a carbide factory crypt die micrometer seating adapter. Always got to check out their new products.
Oh, your sister's actually there tonight.
Yeah. She's got some stuff going on at her house. So she's been staying in the guest room and the dog's been staying here.
Ah.
anything we need to hide bodies no just stuff that they're trying to get rid of so okay she's got my spad her house is from the late 1800s so ah if you know what i mean by that they can sneak into the tiniest of crevices yep give me a second i'll be right back okay so we are gonna work on the uh frankfurt arsenal tonight that is going to happen all right i'm back
Yeah, they do have some super cool stuff. For a while, really, Leap wasn't coming out with a lot of new stuff. It's good to see them doing it, but I look at it for your common reloader that's just loading plinking ammo. Most of their stuff's fine. I've really gotten into the RCBS stuff, but partially because I know the owners. I still use a lot of Leap products. Interesting.
So are we still talking about the FX-10, or are we going to do some pre-Shot Show coverage?
We're going to talk about a little SHOT Show. The one thing that's been the big thing that's been announced. Yep. I give up on Rumble. I don't know what the fuck. That's annoying. I don't know. Anyway. So. All right. So the one thing that we want to talk about that did come out for sure is Lyman has cans. So here is the Sonic Core suppressors. You got the Scarf 22, the Valor 9.
The Wrecker DT, the Wrecker OB, Paradox DT, and Paradox OB. So Lyman is bringing proven and popular European suppressor design to the U.S. to deliver proven performance at a value price. Now, I'm a skooming that that means they're European built?

Chapter 8: How can listeners engage with the Reloading Podcast community?
Five inch length, 3.2 ounces. So direct thread.
And they're sharp looking cans. Yeah. They're nothing that's crazy, like new school looking, but they're not super old school looking. They're kind of that mix. What's the wrecker?
Okay. So the wrecker is either a 223 or a 30 cal. Obviously, the DT is a direct thread. The OB is old.
Okay. So they are doing hub compatible ones. Okay. That was my only thinking. I'm like, how are they going to, they won't sell as many if they're all direct thread. Right. But good. They're doing hub compatible. Okay. Yep. Okay. Cause that photo shows it right there with the hub. Well, they are.
So it's a step down at the back of the suppressor allows greater compatibility in conjunction with common AR handguard inner diameters.
That would be. Yeah. Especially a cool under the barrel.
So like there. So that step down there.
You're not going to be able to get the whole thing into a can, into a, do they show what's the width on it?
Or the diameter is 1.77.
