Chapter 2: What are the highlights from SHOT Show 2026?
You know, we're here. We're ready to rock the cast tonight. Jeremy Pazderic from River's Edge Tactical in Valley City, Ohio. You can go check out his gun range. You can buy a gun. You can rent his machine guns. Have fun. And I highly recommend it. We have Nick from Bus Built Systems on the line. He's here. He's... Has no fear. I don't know what else to say about him.
Savage1R is checking in on the news, keeping us up to date on the politics and gun control in the country. My name is Sean Herron. Welcome to We Like Shooting, episode 648. We're so happy to be here with you. We have a special guest with us tonight, Chris Burns from C&G Holsters. Chris, what's happening?
Hey, guys. Appreciate you having me.
Yeah, you're East Coast, right? Yeah, Pittsburgh. So it's like tomorrow there, basically, right?
It's fucking 10 o'clock. Sorry, I shouldn't have dropped that so far.
Oh, no. Honestly, I'm surprised that it was the first one, even though the show's only been on for 30 seconds. You feel free. You do your thing. But, yeah, I always feel bad when we have people from the East Coast on because it just gets so late. Like, Jeremy's Ohio, so he's East Coast as well. Nick is Mountain Time, Savage is Pacific Time, and I'm Mountain Time.
So, you know, it's like daytime when we finish up here, but it's like tomorrow when you guys finish up.
Yeah. Yeah. When my marketing manager told me the time, I'm like, what? You're like, she's like, Oh, they're on the West coast. PM.
Yeah. How about AM? Yeah. My wife, she's like, she'll be like, Hey, do you want to go to dinner with her friends or whatever? And I'll be like, yeah. And she'd be like, okay, we're going to meet him at eight 30. I was like at night. Never, nevermind, man. I'm out. I'm not interested in that. That's like, like I've already got my pants off by eight 30. Yeah.

Chapter 3: What innovations are introduced in shooting gear?
No, you didn't.
And the Washington Monument is 17 Washington Monument Parkway.

Yeah, they are. You should go do a drive-by.
Them and Peterson's right up the road, too.
Yeah, you should definitely do a drive-by. That'd be sick. I know I should. Live stream it.
Dude, gun companies literally going to war with each other. I'm down.
It would be amazing. Travis V1 said, stop grooming us, Sean. Like, dude, I can't help it if you take your pants off and listen to the podcast. It's not my fault. Jeremy, talk sexy to him real quick. Damn, that actually worked.
I think Sean got pregnant.

Chapter 4: How does Chris from C&G Holsters describe his business journey?
not turn it into something else you know yeah um and this isn't a correlation you can take it whatever you want but we used to do gun shows all the time and you know uh jeremy if you're close you know you know monroeville's gun show is the biggest one in southwestern pa everybody goes to it and we used to do it all the time but dude when when i got put in between the pickle guy and the jerky guy
I'm like, this is this is a flea market. This isn't a gun show. Yeah. And we stopped doing them. And I mean, I get it. They need to be able to fill the booths. And I get it, you know, from a business sense. But like when I was a kid, we go to a gun show. You just that was part of the awe of a gun show because it was just tables and tables and tables. And now it's like every third table.
And it's, you know, I really don't want to see SHOT Show turn into something like that.
Well, SHOT Show is completely fucking pointless nowadays because we have the internet. Like the whole point, like... You got this. I was trying to explain to somebody the other day.
I was like, the whole point of SHOT Show was that way back in the day, I had to pull out my fucking catalog, which was like this goddamn thick, flip through it, write down all the fucking product numbers, call my rep or send a fucking fax in or mail a fucking letter with a check and then fucking wait for my shit.
And then SHOT Show was where you went to talk to the manufacturers, set up fucking deals, set up fucking blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. We don't need that anymore. It's like my reps call me. I like some of my reps and I bullshit with them. But you don't need to fucking call me, bro. You got a website. If I need something, I'll just go fucking order the goddamn thing.
Send me an email that says, hey, this new product came out. If you want one, call me or shoot me an email. But, like, you don't need trade shows like that anymore. It used to be so you could go get FaceTime with your guy and get schmoozed a little bit and wined and dined a little bit. Because I spent, you know, $300,000 in your fucking company, and the bigger guys are spending millions, right?
Yep. So it's just not needed.
Yeah.

Chapter 5: What innovative products were highlighted at SHOT Show 2026?
Yeah, that was the first full auto I ever bought was that.
I bet yours isn't gold, though. No. I had to get so many headshots to get the gold.
Yep. He had the prestige. Which is hard to do in a drive-by. Especially in Montana.
I mean, I'm so confused by 50 bids, man.
I'm not.

Chapter 6: How do recent gun control narratives impact public perception?
50 bids on this bad boy.
A little bit confused, yeah.
Are you guys ready? I think so. Yep. All right. Let's go. Boom. Let's see him. Jeremy says 1700.
Chapter 7: What are the implications of the ATF's actions on the firearms industry?
Oh, God damn it.
Savage says, oh, God, the order's all messed up. Savage says 500. Sean says 811. And Chris says 900. I can't read that. What does it say? 900. 900.
You know, we're all in the same neck of the woods.
Chapter 8: How do personal anecdotes relate to broader discussions on gun rights?
Not really.
The same thumb of the woods.
Yeah, everyone who matters is in the same neck of the woods.
Sorry, Savage.
Let me just fix this real quick.
Alright. One of you guys was really, really close and it was not Savage. Yeah. Savage was $215 off. This sold for $700. Excuse me, $715. Jeremy's $700 bid was $15 off. So he's pretty close.
I was trying to remember what I paid for mine and I was like, oh wait, I think I bought it for $350. Yeah, they aren't worth that much. Yeah, they are. When I buy a gun, this is what they go for.
Yeah, people pay this much for them.
I give half of what I think I could sell it for, and I paid $350. So I was like, I think it was right around $700 where it was. Mine's a machine gun now, but it's awesome.
