I'm Mungish Atigular, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talk to scientists, biopunks, curmudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way.
Stacey Dales 0:23
I'd say probably start bone smashing. That doesn't work. Make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know.

It's that, and then there's everything else. Dude, his whole life has sounded like the first drop of a roller coaster.

When Democrats are messing up, I say it. When Republicans are messing up, I say it. I'm Essie Kupp, a journalist and political commentator. And on my podcast, Off the Kupp, I help you make sense of the often nonsensical news. I do this on cable news too, but on my podcast, I can really let loose and be my honest, unfiltered self. I just want to talk about something that happened this week because it's so bonkers. So stupid. Such incredibly bad politics. We have to talk about it. Come for the hot takes. Stay for the sanity. Listen to Off the Cup on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Michael Rappaport 1:43
This is Michael Rapaport, and my podcast, the I Am Rapaport Stereo Podcast, is unlike anyone you've ever heard. If you're looking for strong opinions about sports, entertainment, politics, pop culture, and whatever else catches my attention, then subscribe now. This kid, Jafar Jackson, should absolutely, positively get nominated for his portrayal as Michael Jackson. Listen to I Am Rapaport on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

Shane is on the phone today for a first date follow-up, and he's getting ghosted by a woman named Dahlia. So in a few minutes, we'll call her and see if she'll tell us why she's ghosting him and maybe get him a second date. But first, Shane, why do you think Dahlia's ghosting you?
Shane (guest) 2:28
Probably because I lied about playing the trumpet. Why?
Jubal (host) 2:33
You lied about playing the trumpet?
Shane (guest) 2:35
Why would you?
Jubal (host) 2:36
Yeah, why? Is the trumpet a big turn-on, too? I didn't know that, but... Yes.
Shane (guest) 2:42
Well, so here's what happened. So I took Dahlia to one of those traveling night markets that kind of moves around different parts of the country, and they have food vendors, live music, games for adults to play, and we're having a great time. She told me, you know, it seemed like she was having fun, seemed like we were vibing, and she was telling me how much she liked how spontaneous and adventurous I was, and, you know, I don't really think a night market is that adventurous, but whatever. Yeah. anyways, at one point, there was a band playing, and they were joking around that someone should come up and play trumpet with them from the audience, you know, I was kind of joking, and I was joking with her, and I told her that I, you know, I teased her, I was like, oh, well, I played the trumpet since I was a little kid, and I'm gonna go on stage, and I'll go kill it, you know, I'll surprise her, kind of like, uh, like that scene in Anchorman, you know, and, uh,
Shane (guest) 3:35
I went up there and I bombed. I was absolutely terrible at the trumpet. I thought that was still funny. Did you already know how to play?
Jubal (host) 3:46
Okay, so you were joking.
Shane (guest) 3:47
I was just going to go up there and be goofy. I thought it was funny. But I don't think she did. Because after that, she looked like she had just smelled a fart, is the best way to describe what her face looked like.
