There's no way I fit in that cot, but I would have been there with you. It was kind of fun. I got to be honest. Like 500 kids screaming after midnight in a museum, not my favorite idea of a good time on a Friday night, but it's a good premise for a movie. I got to give it to them. Let's start, though, with the king. LeBron James is taking his talents to... Philadelphia on a two-year, $8 million deal with the Sixers. LeBron went to Twitter to say, quote, this is my last decision. I'm not going for money. I'm not going for family. What am I really playing for at this point? I still want to sacrifice. I still want to work. I still want to grind. I still want to compete to win and to have a chance at the feeling of winning another championship.

Of all the landing spots, and he literally could have gone anywhere if he was willing to play for the minimum, what did you make of LeBron landing in Philly? So much for nothing left to prove, as he said almost a decade ago now in 2017. This is not about family, not about money. It's about chasing that fifth ring. And my first reaction to it when it happened, Danny, was kind of like I respect it because there was a safety in going to Miami or going to Cleveland. There was no losing in doing that. He's going to a new city where it's high risk. This could work. It could lead to another ring, but it's also high risk in the sense that
Joel Embiid has injury issues. Jalen Brown, we'll see how he fits. There's a lot of downside. You could be hated there. And so I was shocked that he actually did it, that he actually chose a new franchise. But I'm very excited now that we could have a chance for him to become the first player in NBA history to win a ring with four franchises. And so I'm excited to see how this very much plays out.
Guys, I just cannot believe he went to the team with Joel Embiid. Because that roster looks great on paper. They've made a lot of different changes. But if you want to win a title, Embiid has to stay healthy throughout the postseason. And he looked great in that Celtics series. And you thought, oh, here we go. And you get to the Knicks, and you're like... Who is that guy out there? He can barely move. So while it is going to be a lot of fun to watch and Philly is going to be absolutely the most interesting team in the league, especially to start the year. The fact that LeBron is banking on Joel Embiid to get him to that last ring was a shocker to me because I don't believe he can stay healthy. I don't think anything we've seen in the last few years would lead you to believe that he can make it all the way through that stretch.
And while the regular season you can get away with him missing some games, you want a ring, you need him, and I don't see how he's going to be out there the whole time.
So there's a ton here. In fairness to Embiid, it wasn't the knees, right? It was an appendectomy.
