Why did the Dow rebound after the Fed’s rate hike?
A rebound on Wall Street. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. The Dow's up more than two hundred points, gaining back some of yesterday's losses when the Dow plunged after the Federal Reserve interest rate hike that President Trump calls the wrong move.
White House officials called the Fed's decision unfortunate and not backed by a compelling economic case, arguing that inflation has actually cooled. And to the extent that inflation persists, it's driven by energy supply shocks from oil prices in the Middle East.
Newfox polls show warning signs for Republicans, with seventy seven percent of registered voters ranking the economy negatively and saying Democrats would better handle inflation and higher prices by a fifteen point margin.
When I'm on the ticket, I'm not bragging, but when I'm on the ticket, Republicans have always done really well. They go out, they vote, everybody gets elected.
Michael Watley, who's been trailing Democrat Roy Cooper in the polls.
What concerns do Republican leaders have about AI safety and regulation?
The president also says the conflict with Iran will end
well and soon. And they want to make a deal so badly they call we wanna make a deal, we wanna make and they're not ready yet, I don't think, but we could have a deal any time we want.
The president also keeps insisting that warnings from AI leaders that artificial intelligence could get dangerously out of control is a hoax. Republican Senator John Kennedy tells Fox.
I don't completely trust these these AI tech CEOs. I'm I'm not saying they're as bad as timeshare salesmen, but they've got a vested interest here. They stand to make billions and billions and billions of dollars.
Kennedy wants to mandate that those companies have a kill switch to shut off AI if the technology goes rogue. Democrats keep pushing for more AI regulations.
How are today’s market indices performing after the recent rebound?
America's listening to Fox News. Well, back to the gains on Wall Street. The Dow now up 188 points. The Nasdaq gaining 356. The S P five hundred is adding sixty-five points. As for oil, it's down more than one percent. WTI at 101 bucks a barrel. But at the gas pump, Triple A's national average for regular seven cents higher today, four forty-three a gallon. Diesel pumped up eight cents.
What was the scope of the SwiftArc Capital fraud scheme and its impact on investors?
Its new record price, six thirty-nine. A man in the U.S. illegally will spend eleven years in prison. After pleading guilty to fraud and a Ponzi scheme that cost dozens of victims, including NFL star Travis Kelsey.
This goes back to July 2016 when the Justice Department says Siddharth Jawahar launched an investment fund with his company, SwiftArc Capital, which took in more than $35 million from investors over the next seven years. But of that amount, only $10 million was ever invested into a single company whose stock tanked. And instead of telling investors, prosecutors say the illegal immigrant lied. and recruited new investors to use their money to pay off older ones, all while using most of those funds to pay for an extravagant lifestyle with private jets, luxury hotels and apartments, private club memberships, fancy clothes, and fine dining.
That's Fox's Garrett Tenny.

Tickle Me Elmo is hoping to go from the toy box to the National Toy Hall of Fame. Elma
Fox laughing with you.
Elmo is one of twelve finalists this year, along with Bingo, Care Bears, Mahjong, and the Pokemon Trading Card Club. The public can vote through September twenty-third, but a panel of judges will make the final call in November. And getting in isn't just about being popular. Toys must be considered icons, reach multiple generations, inspire creativity, or profoundly change play or design. Sign three toys will make the cut.
That's Carmen Roberts. I'm Dave Anthony and this is Fox News.
