The latest escalation between the U.S. and Iran coming after Iran began targeting civilian ships in the Strait of Hormuz.
Despite the return of American air power, Admiral Cooper, commander of U.S. forces in the Middle East, says Iran is striking back. hitting seven commercial ships in the Strait of Hormuz with up to a dozen crew members killed, missing or wounded. Iran has attacked Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE. Today, Kuwait reported Iran fired 33 drones and six missiles at its country.

President Trump had said he would charge ships fees to pass through the strait once the U.S. takes control, but reversed course earlier today after he says he was contacted by Iran's neighbors. Darlene Graham, the sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, has been sworn in as the next senator from South Carolina after being appointed yesterday by Governor Henry McMaster. Darlene Graham is expected to serve the remainder of her brother's term, which expires in January.
