Laying blame. I'm Lisa LaSara, Fox News. Oregon Governor Tina Kotak pointing fingers after two people were found shot in Portland.
We are all shaken and outraged by another terrible, unnecessary, violent event instigated by the reckless agenda of the Trump administration.
The Department of Homeland Security says the man and woman were targets of an investigation and they're affiliated with the Trende Arangua gang. Police Chief Bob Day says the two were found by local police and taken to the hospital.
We at this time do not know if this is an immigration-related event. We do not know which federal agencies were involved.
DHS says when border agents identified themselves, the driver of the vehicle attempted to hit them and a defensive shot was fired. The Multnomah County District Attorney's Office is investigating. In Minneapolis, a second day of protests after a woman was shot and killed by an immigration officer.
Hundreds of people are taking part in these demonstrations. More than a dozen people arrested here today. Several for throwing bottles at Border Patrol. Agents have had to use tear gas and pepper balls to break up the crowd a few times.
