This is not any way, shape, or form of immigration related on our end. We do not know the facts of this case.
Portland Police Chief Bob Day also says police were not involved in the shooting. The Department of Homeland Security saying that one of the two people shot a member of the Venezuelan gang known as Trende Aragua. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem reacting to the shooting death of a woman who was trying to drive through an active ICE operation in Minneapolis the day before.
She said protesters continued to attack ICE officers and the officer believed his life was in danger.
These individuals had followed our officers all day, had harassed them, had blocked them in. They were impeding our law enforcement operations, which is against the law. And when they demanded and commanded her to get out of her vehicle several times, she did not.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry have called the DHS account propaganda and BS. Mayor Fry saying the agent was, quote, recklessly using power that resulted in somebody dying. The Trump administration's condemned the rhetoric, saying it puts agents in danger.
And Venezuelan leaders freeing some political prisoners in a gesture to seek peace after American forces captured President Nicolas Maduro and his wife this past weekend in Operation Absolute Resolve. We asked them to do that, and they've been great. They really have been. I mean, everything we've wanted, they've given us. We went in, we took Maduro out. Amazingly, that nobody was killed. We didn't lose a soldier. We had some people wounded, but we didn't lose a soldier.
Maduro pleaded not guilty to federal drugs and weapons charges in a New York court on Monday. Vice President Delcy Rodriguez was sworn in as interim leader. America's listening to Fox News.

However, the House bill can't overcome a Senate filibuster. Senators are crafting a bipartisan compromise to wind down Obamacare aid and impose reforms.
The measure will go to the Senate and would need some GOP support to pass. The House has refused to override President Trump's vetoes on two bills, even though the measures had bipartisan support.
One measure would have allowed Colorado communities to finance a water pipeline to serve tens of thousands. The other would have designated a site in Everglades National Park as part of an Indian reservation. They both passed. But when they got to the president's desk, he vetoed both. He said he was concerned about the cost of the pipeline.
And he said the Native American tribe that would get the Everglades land has been trying to obstruct reasonable immigration policies. In the end, the House failed to reach the two-thirds support needed to override those vetoes, with Republicans choosing to avoid a fight with the White House in an election year.
