In the last few hours, the U.S. military took out 16 mine-laying vessels after the president warned anyone who might want to lay mines in the Strait will meet a very violent end. Officials are closely watching the oil markets.
They're drawing up options to keep the strait open, which has so far not included any military escorts for oil tankers, despite the energy secretary saying that had happened in a post that was quickly deleted. The markets are hanging on the administration's every word, and they responded in kind. Oil prices dropped when that post went up. They rose when the post came down.
The price volatility is just one reason why the president's continuing to face these questions about how long the war will last.

The U.S. continues defending its bases and allies in the region from Iranian ballistic missile attacks as the U.S. carried out what Secretary of War Pete Hegseth described as the most intense day of airstrikes yet. Israel hit Lebanon hard today. They targeted Hezbollah leadership, military sites. and financial infrastructure in the southern suburbs of Beirut.
Now, Iran also targeted its neighbors yet again, including the United Arab Emirates twice, and including its largest oil refinery in that country, which had to shut down as a result of the drone attack. Here in Tel Aviv, we had a pretty big ballistic missile attack in southern and central Israel. Thankfully, there are no injuries to report from that. Fox is Nate Foy.

Los Angeles District Attorney has revealed that Rihanna and her family were inside when a woman fired at the singer's home. Fox's Kristen Goodwin has more from L.A.
Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hockman says Ivana Lissette Ortiz faces charges of attempted murder, 10 counts of assault on a person with a semi-automatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an inhabited vehicle or dwelling.
Ms. Ortiz, if and when convicted of these charges, is facing up to life in state prison.
The 35-year-old from Orlando is accused of opening fire at singer Rihanna's gated home in the Beverly Hills area Sunday.
Rihanna was there with her partner, her three children, her mother, and two staff people.
