DHS says a suspect fled the target location in a car. There was a pursuit. The suspect's vehicle crashed into a parked vehicle. There had been reports of shots fired in self-defense. Police say no one was shot. DHS says the target is an immigrant from El Salvador accused of involvement in a human smuggling operation. America's listening to Fox News.

A federal judge ruled in August a threat to withhold federal funding from schools with broadly labeled diversity, equity and inclusion programs opposed by the administration violates free speech rights and federal procedural rules. The Education Department is withdrawing its appeal. So the ruling stands.
Last year's memo to colleges said race could not be considered in decisions involving admissions, hiring, scholarships and all other aspects of student, academic and campus life. K-12 schools were asked to certify they did not practice DEI or also risk losing federal funding. The challenge was filed by the American Federation of Teachers. Chris Foster, Fox News.
