Chapter 1: What emergency meeting is the EU holding regarding U.S. tariffs?

percent tariff will take effect on February 1st, an increase to 25 percent on June 1st, unless a deal is reached. The countries include Denmark, Norway, France, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Finland. European leaders quickly and sharply criticized the move. Thousands also marched in Greenland and Denmark today to protest against a potential U.S. takeover.

Meantime, a bipartisan group of U.S. lawmakers is in Copenhagen showing support for Denmark and Greenland's sovereignty and NATO.
The president claims, rather, that Greenland is critical to U.S. security and has not ruled out the use of military force. Today's meeting is in Brussels. The Republican Party is divided over the U.S. acquiring Greenland. Fox's Ryan Schmelz has more from Washington, D.C.
Republican Congressman Randy Fine has a bill that would set the stage for President Trump to annex Greenland. Fine tells Fox News Radio Greenland is a strategic asset for national security and trade.
Chapter 3: What are the implications of Trump's interest in acquiring Greenland?
The United States needs Greenland to be safe. Greenland is all that sits in between Russia and the United States. These trade routes are critical to the United States.

More protesters are coming together as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry are being investigated for allegedly conspiring to remove ICE agents from the state.
This comes as Minnesota Governor Tim Walz calls in the National Guard to help provide traffic support during demonstrations. The Guard has been activated but not yet deployed. Today in sub-zero temperatures... Tense verbal and physical exchanges erupted outside of Minneapolis City Hall. The protests come as the Justice Department is investigating Walls and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry.

They're accused of conspiring to impede immigration agents. Meantime, a Minnesota judge has ruled federal officers enforcing immigration in Minneapolis can't detain or tear gas peaceful protesters.
