But after nine Democrats sided with Republicans to hold the former president in contempt and three Democrats agreed to hold former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in contempt, the couple relented. They've not been accused of any wrongdoing in relation to Jeffrey Epstein, and Hillary Clinton has said she doesn't recall ever meeting Epstein.
Oversight staff attorneys are expected to conduct the depositions in Chappaqua, New York, where the Clintons live.
