Chapter 1: What is the main topic discussed in this episode?
But we'll blink first. I'm Chris DiMeo, Fox News. Congress is in the middle of a government shutdown showdown.
Fox's Ryan Schmel says more. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries was at the Capitol Friday and wasn't too happy seeing President Trump at the Ryder Cup.
He doesn't have the time to meet with Democratic leaders to fund the government and address the Republican health care crisis.
Chapter 2: What is the current status of the government shutdown in Congress?
But Donald Trump right now, as we speak, is at a golf event. It's outrageous.
The Senate plans on voting early next week on a bill to extend government funding until late November. Democrats want certain health care provisions included in the bill in exchange for their votes. 60 votes will be needed to break the filibuster, and the government funding deadline is September 30th. In Washington, Ryan Schmelz, Fox News.
Team Europe takes a historic lead in the Ryder Cup. Fox's Joe Morgan has more.
The Americans have dug themselves a hole at the 45th playing of the Ryder Cup. Team Europe grabbed a three-point lead on Friday at Bethpage Black after their big star showed up and the Americans' big names fell flat. Scotty Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau failed to earn a point while Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy, and Jon Rahm didn't lose a match.
Scheffler became the first number one player in the world to go 0-2 on the opening day of the Ryder Cup since Tiger Woods in 2002. McElroy had a chance to give the Europeans an even bigger lead, but he missed a 12-foot birdie putt for the win in the final match. Joe Morgan, Fox News.
A medical examiner confirms a man who killed four people in a Manhattan office tower this summer was suffering from CTE. Shane Tamora shot himself in the chest after the July 28th shooting in a building that houses the NFL headquarters. The victims included a police officer, security guard and two office workers. Tamora accused the NFL of hiding evidence of brain injuries.
