Chapter 1: What happened during the recent shooting incident in Minneapolis?
Another deadly shooting. I'm Angelo Bavaro, Fox News. A Border Patrol officer shot and killed the person in Minneapolis, who authorities say was armed with a handgun and two magazines. But multiple media outlets say videos of that incident do not show any weapon on that victim at the time of the shooting. Mayor Jacob Fry.
We are getting assistance from both mutual aid jurisdictions as well as the request to the governor for the National Guard, and we're appreciative of the assistance. Our community is tired. Our officers are tired, our businesses are tired, and this additional support is necessary.
Protesters and federal agents have been clashing for weeks in Minneapolis, especially after the deadly shooting of Renee Goode by ICE on January 7th. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.
An individual approached U.S. Border Patrol officers with a 9-millimeter semi-automatic handgun. The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. Fearing for his life and for the lives of his fellow officers around him, an agent fired defensive shots.
The man shot has been identified as Alex Jeffrey Preddy, an ICU nurse. And that deadly shooting Saturday may mean another government shutdown.
Senate Democrats were already angry about Homeland Security, ICE and the tactics being used to remove migrants. But after Saturday's shooting, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Senate Democrats will not provide the votes to proceed to the appropriations bill if the DHS funding bill is included.
That means they're opposing legislation needed to avoid a government shutdown by the end of the week. Republicans need some Democratic support to get a spending package passed by Friday when temporary funding for the majority of the federal government runs out. In Washington, Jill Nadeau, Fox News.

We've seen more than 300 flight delays and over 300 cancellations as well, but we are expecting to see way more as the time picks up. More than 1,000 flights are already canceled, and again, it's expected those numbers will just continue to rise
As the time passes by, but the airport has been pretty quiet, and that is because a lot of people chose to change their travel plans due to the severe weather.
Airport officials say they took several measures to keep the airport running safely, including the use of more than 300,000 gallons of liquid brine and de-icer, along with nearly 100 tons of solid de-icer and a sand-salt mix for the runways.
