What recent military actions has the U.S. taken in Syria?
Another U.S. attack in Syria. I'm Roger Stern, Fox News. The U.S. launched a strike on ISIS forces in Syria today. Fox's Lucas Tomlinson with the details. This is a sign that the U.S. military, the Trump administration, the Pentagon are committed to pay back, to avenge the deaths of those two. Iowa National Guard soldiers and their American interpreter that were killed in Syria.
This is part of Operation Hawkeye's strike, we're told. That was the strike last month, the first round of strikes that knocked out 70 ISIS targets. It's not clear how many targets were hit. Unclassified drone video showing ISIS targets being hit.
And the fact that they hit around dinnertime, around 8.30, a local in Syria says they might have hit ISIS fighters as they were assembling inside their compounds for dinner. This is the second time the U.S. military has launched airstrikes against ISIS in Syria since December.
In Minneapolis, anti-ice protesters tried a new tactic, trying to deny ICE agents a night's sleep by making noise outside of a hotel. This is forces ready for more trouble as we hear from Fox's Garrett Tenney. The National Guard is on standby in case things get out of hand, but so far things have not gotten to that point.
This week, as we've been monitoring these protests, the worst we've seen was last night when more than 1,000 people marched downtown targeting several hotels where activists believe ICE agents are staying. We were there as some smaller groups tried breaking into parts of the hotel, throwing furniture and spraying anti-ICE graffiti. A bit after that,
Police showed up, declared an unlawful assembly, and had rocks, ice, and snow thrown at them as they arrested 29 people. Vice President J.D. Vance's Wednesday shooting was self-defense, but Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry condemned the federal agent who fired the shots. America is listening to Fox News. This is Ainsley Earhart.
