Ruth defended himself at trial, but Martin Roth was his standby lawyer. He hopes that his actions do not influence other people or motivate other people to involve themselves in a political act of violence. The judge called Ruth evil.
Fox's Evan Brown in Miami. President Trump was on one of his Florida golf courses when Secret Service agents found Ruth hiding in the shrubs with a gun as Donald Trump was playing. A professor at Texas A&M University was fired last year after a controversy over a classroom video about a gender identity lesson has sued the school.
