A legal setback for families suing UPS following a deadly cargo plane crash last fall.
Attorneys for UPS want to move lawsuits out of Jefferson Circuit Court in Louisville, Kentucky to federal court in Atlanta, arguing it is the principal place of business for the delivery giant. Attorneys representing five families who lost loved ones say progress in the case is now stalled and claim the company is deeply tied to Louisville through its cargo sorting operations at Louisville International Airport, known as Worldport, and other Kentucky operations.
