Are they buried alive in the snow? I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. That is the big question. The morning after an avalanche near Lake Tahoe, California.
Those nine backcountry skiers have been missing for more than 17 hours in just about the worst weather conditions you can imagine.

Six other people were rescued. The Nevada County Sheriff posting on Facebook, quote, Due to extreme weather conditions, it took several hours for rescue personnel to safely reach the skiers and transport them to safety where they were medically evaluated by truckie fire. Two of the six skiers have been transported to a hospital for treatment.
There is still no named suspect on day 18 of the search for Nancy Guthrie.
The Pima County Sheriff and the FBI are going to be analyzing more DNA after testing revealed that the DNA found on the glove two miles from Nancy Guthrie's home belonging to an unknown male and the DNA found inside of the Guthrie home belonging to an unknown individual are two different people and neither of those DNA samples produced a match in the FBI's national database.

There was a new round of Russia-Ukraine talks this morning, brokered by the U.S. and Geneva, though both sides called them difficult in a dispute over who gets what territory if there is a deal to stop their war. Now, this is the day after the same American negotiators held indirect talks.
With Iran in Geneva, Vice President Vance tells Fox Iran has to make a nuclear deal. It's one of the most hostile and also one of the most irrational regimes in the world. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is accusing the Trump administration of a cover-up in the Jeffrey Epstein investigation, also telling the BBC she wants her questioning in a congressional committee next week to be public. Former President Bill Clinton will be questioned the day after both had initially refused to testify, leading to threats of contempt of Congress charges.
Now today, someone else mentioned in the Epstein files will be questioned.
House Oversight Committee attorneys will depose 88-year-old billionaire Les Wexner, the former CEO of L Brands, which owned Victoria's Secret, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Bath & Monty Works. He's mentioned frequently in the Epstein files released by the Justice Department. At one point, Wexner apparently trusted Jeffrey Epstein so much he gave him control over his personal finances.
Though attorneys for Wexner say Epstein ended up stealing from Wexner, and they say Wexner cut ties with Epstein in 2008. Oversight Committee staff are expected to conduct the deposition at Wexner's home in New Albany, Ohio. The Oversight Committee chairman has said video and a transcript of the deposition will be released to the public. Jessica Rosenthal, Fox News.
This is a big day at the social media trial in Los Angeles.
Despite the trial being recessed Tuesday because a juror was hospitalized, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will take the stand regardless of if the juror returns in time for his testimony. Meta and YouTube are accused of knowingly creating addictive features that led to teen depression, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts. Both have denied the claims.
